I have been very pleased with this recorder, it?s sound is clear and bright throughout the range and since I am quite short at 5ft 2? the shorter length has been a great benefit making reaching the low notes much easier. I also tried the 2408 (I believe this is now discontinued) and although quite torn between the two models as I felt the 2408 had a bright but sweeter sound. However I am very pleased with my purchase which I use mainly in a recorder orchestra and for quintet playing.
