Loved these strings. I fit them to a Hofner Ignition Club Bass that unfortunately I have sold now. They are very smooth strings with a slightly more aggressive sound than your typical flatwound and a high end definition that you won't find anywhere else. I loved the ease of playability and if it weren't for my heavy handed right hand, I'd probably have them on my bass now.

These strings have really changed my appreciation of this instruments capabilities. They are really fine: stable and responsive.

I was hoping they would make my Höfner sound a bit more(a tiny bit) like my Kala bass which has acrylic strings. Well, they actually sounded more 'steel-like than the Höfner flat wounds(that are very good). So I put the Höfners back on and I guess I'm happy enough with the outcome. Good to find out even if I am more than 50 bucks lighter..I somehow thought that nylon coating would dampen the sound a bit more:-(
