dB Technologies ES503 Stereo

Positive: I was very pleasantly surprised about the sound quality and loudness. It is absolutely sufficient for a small outdoor venue of ~100 people. Sure, the bass is what you would expect from 12'' woofer, so it wouldn't do for a rock band live venue, but for a reproducted music, this is a perfect small system that fits in a small car trunk along with the speaker stands, cables, mix, and there's still a place for a keg of beer. The audio quality is good even for home use (I didn't expect it from a PA system) - I am really not any close to being an audiophile, but I believe can tell a good sound from bad one. Negative: On the other side, the control using a single knob is just silly. The system has many functions, and having to switch between different menus just to adjust channel...
LD Systems Maui 44 G2
Based on 3 reviews
Definitely a step forward from the rest of previous Maui series! Midrange divided in 2 sections is really working very well - you cannot guess that there are only 3,5" drivers! Highs are smooth - you can speak in front of the speaker playing at max volume and never have that grim that people usually make it in front of a screaming compression driver :)) Bass really rocks and you can feel it in your chest from 10 meters away! I have the feeling to apologise to all my audiences because I haven't bought this system one year ago when G2 was out :)
LD Systems Dave 15 G3
Based on 3 reviews
Simply put: The sound from this set, especially for the price, is mind-blowing. You can EASILY tailor the sound for your space with spec controls from the SUB unit. Even at high levels, the sound is full, the bass is amazing - but I honestly would not buy anything smaller than 15" diameter woofer if you want your crowd moving. This set works great also outdoors - and good for audience size about up to 200 spread about 45 degrees both sides. The sound does thin out after about 50m away, thus best range to experience full sound and solid bass is within 10-40m away, approximately. The only gripe I have about this system is that the sub is HEA-VY and bulky. @ 50kg the LD systems trolley (separate purchase) is a must moving it around, but lifting it and setting it down from the...
HK Audio Linear 5 - Rock Pack
Based on 2 reviews
I absolutely love our L5 Rock Pack. We use it for musical theatre, for live big band, and for playback for theatre and discos. The bass has a real clarity and punch, without being muddy. It has a really tight, defined kick and the sound quality verges on being clinically clear. We use our pack with a Millenium BS-2020S set of speaker stands, which allow you to use the subs on their side, and extend the top cabs over the pair of subs, which gives a bit more stability and I think a more clean and corporate look, when you have a dance or jazz band where you don't want that 'wall of speakers' look and want something a little less aggressive and more discreet looking. The top cabs can be flown as well, with M8 hanging points, for larger rooms, and we do hang them occasionally within our own...
ANT B-TWIG 8 Mobile
Based on 1 reviews
I recently purchased the Ant B-Twig mobile to complement my old B-Twig 8. The new dsp features on this product are really flexible making the inputs far more versatile than its predecessor. The free app that comes with it makes it so easy to dial in the eq settings and db setting you need for whatever the circumstances. If you are wanting a lightweight flexible PA for a small venue then this is the one for you. And to top it off it will do a whole evening on its own charge from the built in battery.
HK Audio Polar 10
Based on 9 reviews
Finally decided to give my back a chance and cut down on my equipment. After a long period of research, got me a Polar 10. I am mostly performing solo acts at hotels and restaurants and got tired with all that hustle carrying two speakers, all the audio cables, power cables, speaker stands etc. Setting up this speaker is a childs play. It's ready in no time, literally takes about one minute to set it up. Sound is impressing at least. The mid gap is there but it is not that bad. Nothing you cannot compensate on your mixer. You do need to take care on your highs though. The tweeter is not kidding. Powerful little thing!!! It has a very clean and present sound, nothing too sweet like a Bose for example but also not harsh. It is there, it is clean and it makes its stand. My first gig with...
LD Systems Dave 12 G3

I have been extremely impressed with the LD Systems Dave PA since I first saw one a few years ago and finally decided to purchase one myself. The build quality for a PA in this price range is excellent, with the metal grating and wood panelling for extra protection where you would usually expect to see cheap plastic used. The sound quality is exceptional, with rich low end being delivered by the 12" sub and the satellites handling the rest of the frequencies very nicely. You can also achieve a lot of volume for such a small system - more than enough for small clubs, bars and cafe venues.

Very practical kit to transport everywhere, when you DJ at house parties. Only issue I have encountered is with the bass, which sometimes is absent...The subwoofer simply stops working. I think it has to do with some controllers/mixers I use when plugging them using the XLRs input. Would recommend sticking to RCA/RCA for connecting your mixer or DJ controller. For a subwoofer that big I would expect better and louder. Nothing to say on the satellites, they do the job pretty well, loud and crystal clear at high frequencies. I think overall this PA is excellent for home/multimedia house, but somehow limited for DJ usage.

I have had this now for half an year or so. I used this in my studio and produced 3 mixes, in my office for few months just for music listening and small parties for about 60 people to give that extra PA sound. With build in LECC system it doesn't mater what you listed and what is the power you use, this set always sounds good no mater what. Automatic system works like a charm even in maximum output. When I got this I tested it with banging club techno to Vangelis and everything I played sounded just splendid. Even with low or high output power top is clear and bottom is deep. I drove this with M-Audio, E-MU and mac internal sound and it sounded good with every source. Now this set is in my son's (12y old) room because he loved it that much and pretty much stole it from my studio. Maybe...
HK Audio Polar 12
Based on 5 reviews
I thought i would put an unbiased view of this speaker system. I purchased a pair of HK Audio Polar 12's in March 2021. After lockdown i started gigging about the middle of August and up and till now "June 2022" i have been using these every week. I know a lot of reviews on hear are all varied, but i have been using these every single week without any problems. The only thing that i would say is, when you are setting up with a mixer, you have to drive the master output to get the full potentional of volume needed in certain venues. If you use the factory settings, it would trigger the limiter quicker and therefore be quieter in output volume. Personally, i've found a happy medium when setting the master level, i set it at either 5 or 6 on both speakers. I highly recomend these...
