Over the last 4 years I’ve been using a pair of Bose S1 Pro but find the lower frequency’s are not very well defined. Saw a guy using the JBL IRX One playing a wedding gig and it sounded amazing. I’ve been reluctant to purchase a column type system because generally they lack definition in the mids. The crossover point for the IRX is more into the mid range of a guitar and the sub can certainly handle the lower frequencies and the guitar extremely well. The 6 mid to high frequency speakers on the upper section give sparkle without being shrill or “tinny”. My application just for reference is solo vocal, guitar and backing tracks (on a Boss RC-5) into an Elite Acoustics Stomp Mix then onto the JBL IRX One. I used it yesterday at an outside venue and it performed flawlessly ....

Hi, Can't say enough about this amazing Column Array System, WOW! Beautifully made, solid, compact, fab sound and is absolutely perfect for small venues and your living room. I lie on the settee playing youtube clips through it via Bluetooth, it's like sitting in front of a live band. Did a lot of up front evaluations, googled articles, read reviews and watched youtube clips and comparisons with decent headphones on. Then did 2 live tests straight out of the box (at another fab shop in Guildford) comparing the EV30M and the Stagepas 1K MK2. I dismissed the Bose early on as find their sound manipulated, artificial and sickly sweet. Simply Amazing, I cannot complain and am honestly impressed as it is loud.. I would have added guitar effects as an extra addon, though the acoustic guitar sounds pretty clear on this.. I would suggest an update if another model will come out.. adding extra features.. like the Bose app feature.
