Lead Foot FS-2 Reviews
Footswitch
Pros
I was looking for a footswitch for a acoustic amp i had ,it was hassle always having to go back and forward changing the settings, but this footswitch lets me knock on and off the settings when you are playing a gig, its exactly what i was looking for sturdy strong and well built great price simple no messing about plug straigh in and start rocking
Cons
None
Easy to use and great quality
Got this as a cheaper alternative to the Vox footswitch for my AC15. I really wanted something that gave me the option to switch the tremolo effect on/off and this did it perfectly. There's a good long lead on it and it works straight after plugging in at the back. At a fraction of the cost of the Vox, it was a no-brainer for me. It's also handy for switching the reverb but I rarely use that, it's all about the tremolo for me. The only negatives I have are: It would be nice to have an led for on/off; I'd prefer a flat base for attachment to a pedal board. But neither of these are by any means a deal-breaker. For the price, quality and simplicity: It's a steal.
Sturdy pedal
A good solid feel to the pedal.
Great pedal for bargain price.
This foot switch pedal is an excellent choice for among other amp switch pedals. Built quality is very good and from the price stand point, it is unbeatable. works great with my VOX AD 30 amp. I can use one switch to control the the two user customisable presets and the other switch to toggle effects on and off. Solid built and good response from switches when pressed. comes with rubber bottom for slip free use. cable is long enough to keep the amp from being right next to you. if you are looking for a affordable but working sturdy switch do not hesitate to buy it. The price is very good, too.
Very good and sturdy pedal
The pedal has a sturdy metal case and good-quality metal switches that work well even under continuous stress. Totally recommended!
Usefull
Bought this for a Fender guitar combo.Does what it's supposed to do. Switches clean channel to a chorus one. Good price, nicely built.
Good quality footswitch
Strong, sturdy metal construction,it feels good under your feet as well like you need not be afraid you cannot break it. I have this with my Harley Benson 80R amp works perfectly.
Grat footswitch for this price
I use it together with a Beat Buddy pedal and even is a really cheap product it exactly does what I need.
The integrated cable is long enough for everything and the pedal itself is well built and "not so plastic" as you can image considering the price. I definitely recommend this foot switch
A Great Product!
I bought this as a replacement for the Peavey FS2 footswitch which came with my Peavey Valveking head. The Peavey Switch is very poor quality because the lead is not firmly secured into the chassis of the switch, meaning that if the lead is pulled too hard the soldered connection will break. Fixing it was very frustrating.
The Lead Foot FS-2 is simple, economical and well made. It features two switches, one for channel selection and the other for mode selection (so it works best for a two channel, four mode amp). The Lead is a decent length, so you won't have to worry about live situations. I bought mine over 18 months ago and it has seen regular use both at home and on stage, and I have never had a problem with it.
Overall, an excellent and very economical product.
Good basic switch
The switches lack any real tactile feedback, and there are no LEDs to indicate the state of the switch, but the cable is nice and long, the buttons are easy to press and the chassis feels sturdy, (I've jumped on it a couple of times without anything breaking).
The switches are spaced such that it's possible to actuate them both at the same time which comes in handy if you want to switch channel and add a volume boost at the same time for a solo or something.
I'm using it with a Peavey VK100 head and it works fine with it.
Great price
The FS-2 Lead Foot controller is very keenly priced and is suitable for switching channels on your amplifier, or controlling functions on a variety of devices. The Tip, Sleeve, and Ring configuration is compatible with most equipment.
The cable entry on the rear is susceptible to damage if care is not taken, however this can be easily replaced by accessing the internals through either of the screwed side panels.
If its just a foot switch your after this will foot the bill, at a cheap price.
cheap pedal high quality
Only because it costs 12 eur it's not a cheap product. well constructed and sturdy the only complain is that cable is linked to base, no removable option is possible. Cable is quite long and jack is a mono regular one. Push botton are defined with no esitations. Good product 7/10.
Channel/Reverb foot switch
Fair quality, plastic sides though. The lead is permanently attached to the switch and is only 3 metres long so it has to be that close to your amp unless you buy an extension cable.. Would be nice to have a detachable plug so you can fit any length of cable. An LED for the reverb side would also be nice.
As described. Shouldn't let you down.
No bells and whistles but works exactly as intended.
It is solidly built and the switches feel like they could take a stomping.
Not for Up/Down switching
I bought this to use with my Eleven Rack as an Up/Down switch bu it didn't work. Then I figured out that Up/Down switches are different than A/B switches. This one is a latched (A/B) switch and for up/down operation you should buy an unlatched (or momentary) switch.
Versatile
What can you ask more for simple foot switch with 2 buttons? Made out of steel box with nice pad on the back of it, preventing it from sliding on the floor. Buttons are very qualitative, box too. Come with great low noise cable that doesn't make extra noise in amp. Have used it with Nux Mighty 50x, Marshall Valvestate amps and it worked just fine. Looking for a simple foot switch that does its task great? Than this is for you.
Ok, but...
The only thing I have to complain about it (which is kind of a deal breaker for me) is that I thought this had momentary footswitches, but they are latch. For this reason, this became useless to me, because for my use I needed it to have momentary switches. I own a Bugera amp and it requires the footswitch to be momentary. When I use this footswitch on it, what happens is that I have to stomp twice to perform an action (because the latch switch is like on/off).
If you need it with latch switches, though, it's good quality. I honestly didn't expect it to be metal (the sides are plastic, though). And it's so cheap! It would have been perfect if had the type of switch I want!
footswitch
Uninspiring footpedal. It works as it should but the lead is far too long
does the trick
i bought this for an old Laney amp - i'm a bit of a beginner with guitar amps and i was hoping to switch the pre-amp to get more distortion - this worked absolutely fine
i also wanted to switch the reverb but this doesn't work though i'm assuming it's a fault with my understanding or the amp and not the switch
build quality seems very good for the price
Another great value item
So are you in the ranks of the "remarkably big boned" and do you flamenco dance on your pedals? If not then you won't go wrong with this dual switch unit. It's a plain old 2 x stomp switch through to stereo jack type controller. Features? It has no frills. What frills could there be? It just quietly does the job.
It's a metal centre section with plastic cheeks and looks as robust as it needs to be to give years of service if treated reasonably well.
Why pay more for a name? This does the job and does it well!
