Lead Foot LFX-1 Reviews
Very handy
I use this to control the swell on a nord stage, it's not a tour grade pedal, but fine for studio use.
Effective
I use the pedal in my effects unit has an volume control and so far is doing the job efficiently.
The race seems good in terms of length but not quite linear, it seems that it delivers all of a sudden after three quarters.
Sufficient for my use so far but I think trying another more expensive model for later comparison.
The set is sturdy and the cable is about 1.50m. There must be anti slip pads for the base and slide the pedal is not heavy, he runs off too easily.
Works well with various Roland GR guitar synths
Although "built to a price" this has worn well in fairly heavy studio use for several months. Pleasingly good value, although I would probably hesitate to take one on the road without a spare.
The action is OK, not perhaps quite as good as my Morley, but then it's not nearly as expensive.
I was reluctant to put my full weight on it (99KG), but when I stepped on it accidentally it was fine.
Does what it says on the tin, recommended!
Fully functional quality foot controller
I was looking for a "cheap" foot controller to control the volume on my Boss RC-50 loop station. I didn't want to go with the pricey Boss controllers because I felt like I didn't need the extra quality and accuracy supposedly built into the genuine Boss pedals.
And I was totally right.
It's a good quality expression pedal from the outside and accurate enough for
precise volume control on the inside. It's made all plastic, but is sturdy enough for heavy and violent feet. The center and both 0% and 100% positions are precise and on point. The gradation between those points is linear and easily controllable. The mechanical resistance on the pedal joints is perfect and heavy enough for a good feedback.
I found the cord to be a bit long, but you can't really complain about some extra meters of cord. I can't say anything about the precision on the pedal when you use it for other purposes but it works like a charm for me.
Cheap and does the job
Cheap and cheerful expression pedal which does the job. Not the most refined pedal, but it works perfectly well and does the job. I bought three to use with my VG99 and they're great. Easy enough to replace if the need arises
great pedal
Sturdy, good feel. I use it for expression pedal or level pedal for a Nord Stage 2 piano. Optimum pedal. I would not spend an extra euro for a more pricey model.
If you want a cost effective control pedal I would recommend this however there is one major issue -
The pedal offers almost no resistance to being moved so subtle changes are difficult, and putting your foot on the pedal with it is mid travel almost impossible without moving the pedal. The bolt which holds the 2 parts together can't easily be adjusted to add more resistance.
If this isn't a concern for your intended use then grab it, otherwise look at some of the more expensive offerings.
cheap and it works
I use this thing with my Voodoolabs GCP and also direct into the Kemper. It works great and if it breaks, who cares. The only issue I had with it was when I had it set for the wah to be bypassed when the pedal stops moving, and we played on a big stage, the bass was shaking the floor and the wah couldn't turn off. I did half the show with a cocked wah...
Also, if your doing pitch effects, its a little inconsistent with the heel and toe being 0 and 100, sometimes its a little under or over.
Expressive footwork
A useful expression pedal. I can now get full access to the sounds of the Memory Boy.
That's why I bought this pedal. Not easy to find in the shops where I live. This pedal
reacts well, but not too quick, to my footwork. It can be left in a position without having to worry about gravity suddemly deciding to move it.
It's great value for money.
Okay for the price
This pedal is okay for the price, but I've found the tracking to be a bit dodgy at times. Also not a great feel to the pedal, if I was using this a lot I would recommend spending a bit more money.
