I am using this Microphone Shock-Mount to record my wife (singing + ads) at our home "studio". The mounting system is super simple - just push two levers, insert microphone, release the levers. That's it. I use Aston Spirit as the microphone and it's pretty heavy, yet the mount holds it in place perfectly well. There are really no downsides, except that if you are not careful enough, you can bend the pop filter. Overall, an awesome mount!

This thing is simply fantastic. Not only is it a pop screen (obviously), you can unscrew the pop filter head and fit anything else to it that will take a standard microphone screw adapter (ie. 5/8" Male / 3/8" Female). This means that it can be used as an adjustable mic stand by fitting a mic clip to it or anything else you can think of that uses the same connector. Then there's the fact that it's modular – each individual arm linkage is removable meaning that if the whole thing is too long, just remove one or two of the linkages. Too short? Buy two and add more linkages to one of them. The possibilities are endless and I think the manufacturer is seriously underselling the usability of this item. I'd give it six stars across the board if I could. Highly recommended.

I use this pop filter with my AKG P220 condenser microphone. I bought it as it was recommended by AKG themselves for use with the P220 mic. I found it wonderful for recording vocals, as it does not influence the clarity of the source material in any way while arresting the sudden sound pressure of plosives (such as 'P' and 'B') and protecting the mic from saliva. It is ideal for use indoors with large diaphragm condensers mounted on a stand. However for use outdoors, I would recommend the W4000 windshield instead of this. I found the built-in clamp to work well with my K&M table top stand. It should attach well without any issues with boom stands having standard thicknesses.

It's a good windscreen, it does the job that is intended for. However, on my Tascam DR40X, it's so big that it covers the entire screen (and of course the headphone output), which doesn't make it really usable. That doesn't really work if you need to hear what your recording or if you want to check the levels of your recording (or any other information on the screen). For this specific recorder, I actually prefer the rycote windscreen intended for Zoom H6 because it's smaller and you can use it perfectly with headphones on. However, if these are not a problem with your recorder, it's a good quality product.
