Good at the time of release

I remember when buying it 5 years ago, I was excited about having an all in one interface with amazing sounds as advertised by Line6. Easy installation and great podfarm software ... Well ... not exactly.

From the very beginning the hardware and at this time I think win 8.1 haven't been good friends and it is almost impossible to get it running on Win10. Support from Line6 ... nada.

Setup, latency issues and the overall handling just got me to put it on the desk and being frustrated and not using it anymore. I have tried it just a few weeks ago, after getting Behringer UMC 2 (which is amazing) and a Positive Grid Spark amp nd the BIAS FX 2 software and just wanted to compare it (and see if it still doesn't work properly) ... and well ... I was like in the past disappointed.

I guess it could have been a great product ... if it would have been working properly.

Avoid Line6 at any cost!

I first was very optimistic with this purchase.

turned out, there is driver and firmware issues with some products from Line6 including UX2, UX1, Toneport, ... and the last version of macOS AND MS Windows!

The support team from Line6 rejects responsibilities and work to fix this issue.

Line6 is disappointing on all the points! I will never buy from them anymore! They're so expensive, for this poor quality!

Never again!

Great audio interface

The Line6 Studio UX2 was suggested to me by a friend, and it is a great piece of equipment,

It's easy to install, it comes with great software (Both the Pod Farm 2.5 and Cubase LE) and it has several inputs and outputs. I don't nearly use all of them yet, but I plan on slowly buying more gear to use it for a microphone, link it to my surround set to act as a monitor, and so forth.

Full marks purely on easy set up and ease of use.

First I will just say that my review is not based on the specific programs or comparisons to other products. This should be a matter of opinion and what's ideal for some can be totally underwhelming for another.

Based purely on how easy this was to install, the simple interface, the range of features and extras I could not rate this product higher and recommend it enough.

This was truly a case of take it out, insert the disc, click when asked and you're ready to plug and play.

This is a reasonably priced piece of kit with 0 headaches involved in it's setup and its VERY easy to use.

Very nice audio interface

I've done most of my recordings with this device.

Overall, the results sound great. You can easily get professional results and given the price, it's pretty remarkable.

It's easy to use with the included software: Pod Farm.

You get a pretty decent amount of amp and effects which will help shape your guitar, bass and vocals tones.

I only deplore that the guitar and mic can't be used at the same time and even more so, that you have to open Pod Farm and manually change the input source from "Mic" to "Line" or "Mic Stereo".

It's not a huge deal but it seems like this could be optimised.

Aside from that, really good device at an affordable price.

Line 6 is a good brand and this is yet a great example of their very competent craftmanship.

Great tool for entry level

Sounds very good, I have no latency. I'm a beginner in mixing and this interface helps me a lot because it's pretty easy to use.

Glad I bought it

Nice interface with nice software but be careful with handling

When I bought this interface, my main intention was to get something to rehearse in the apartment during the night and to record ideas at the same time.

Software that comes with it is quite nice. It works as a standalone program or as a VST. Maybe it's not Guitar Rig/Amplitube (it depends what you prefer) but when you find out few tricks you get a decent sound. So I used it as a VST, put it on one channel in my DAW, put EQ, compressor and high-pass filter (when needed) on it and I got decent sound that was comparable with previously mentioned programs. So if you put some time in it, you get a good result. The only drawback (but it makes sense) of the software is that it doesn't work with other interfaces.

When it comes to the interface. Pre-amps are okay, I love the VU meters, it's literally one of the most useful things of the good old analogue days, so you actually see what's going on without having thousands windows opened in your DAW. But there is one downside. It may happened only to me but the USB connector broke after few months of usage. So if anyone else faces the same problem:

This interface CAN be opened and fixed even if it doesn't look like this. The screws are around the 1/4" jacks, so you can untighten them and then rewire the USB connector on the printed circuit board.

Overall, I would recommend it because the ratio between price and quality is still good but not for professional recording use. It's okay for home to record some demos but definitely not for something serious.
