For larger brass bands that play in the dark, this is a major upgrade. You no longer need to purchase disposable LR03 batteries in bulk. If you were already using rechargeable AAA, now you don't need to cycle the batteries out. You can simply use a passive USB hub to charge 8 or 10 at once from a single smartphone charger. Other than that, it's standard K&M: The clip holds nicely and opens wide. The gooseneck stays nicely enough wherever it is positioned. The light is a good color spectrum and brightness.
