Luna Guitars was founded in 2005 by Yvonne de Villiers, a luthier and musician from California. The company was created with the mission to create instruments that are beautiful, unique, and inspiring.
The company's first instrument was the Luna Tattoo Concert Ukulele, which was designed to appeal to the growing ukulele market. The ukulele was a hit and soon Luna Guitars was producing a wide range of instruments including acoustic guitars, electric guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos, and ukuleles.
In addition to their traditional instruments, Luna Guitars has also developed a line of specialty instruments such as the Moonbird, a 12-string guitar with a unique shape and sound. They also offer a range of travel guitars and ukuleles that are designed to be lightweight and easy to transport.
