I decided for this item, even there were no reviews about it. I just liked the clean design and price seem to be right. In short: it's heavier than I though and feels extremely solid. No wonder, because arms are made of 30mm metal pipe! Bottom and middle knee have some quite strong spring built inside, which prevents the upper part (microphone) to just fall down while adjusting the position. Actually, quite some force is needed to move microphone downward. Also worth to mention in case you don't plan to use it all the time: the stand wont's stay in folded position, because the spring is just too strong. All in all, I'm happy with it. It looks really nice and does the job.

This thing does it’s job. It’s precisely constructed and the softube unit, be it the fader or console 1 sits snugly inside. For me though it’s a little expensive for what it is. The underside bracing is very thin and the finishing on the visible parts is just enough. I.e rear portions of the sides are rough and not finished. However, like I say, it works and holds the unit at a good angle for working and improves the visibility on the illuminated controls of the console 1. The overall look it gives to the console 1 is also improved, if that’s important to you.

This desktop mic holder is of much higher quality than I expected. Aesthetically pleasing - a perfect match for my white desk - and with well designed joints, that can be tensioned perfectly. I use it with my AKG C214 with stock shock mount and added pop filter and foam microphone screen - and the combined weight is no issue at all for this holder. It's also very easy to use. Tip: Buy some cable strips make the mic cable run snug against the frame, and consider a white microphone cable too, for optimal visuals.
