Dynacord Powermate 600-3

What can I say about this mixing desk? There is no other powered mixer that can compete with this. I am delighted with it. It is such a fantastic desk for whatever live situation you use it for. the customisable effects are on of the highlights of this product with such a wide range of reverbs and delays perfect for any vocalist's needs. Another great feature is the changeable output wattage of the desk making it the best desk for any type of loud speaker out there. It is also very lightweight unlike the older models which is always a plus. Two things that I would have liked to have seen included on the desk is an input for a tap pedal to use instead of pressing the button, to save always returning back to the desk to chance the tap settings. The other thing I would of liked to have seen...
Dynacord Powermate 1000-3

Excellent, as was it's predecessor, the Powermate 1000-1, which gave me 12yrs good service (and I still retain as a spare desk). The Mark 3 is lighter, more powerful (especially instantaneous power, the snare really 'cracks'), and produces less heat than my faithful Mark 1. There is nothing on the market that comes close! The only (tiny) criticism is the lack of stereo-jack insert points on the main outputs, instead one has to use a combination of XLR 'outs' and Jack 'ins' to insert an external equaliser etc. But overall, this powered-desk is the best you're gonna get.

I have been waiting for a long time for the perfect amplifier to suit my needs. I am a solo singer who uses backing tracks and guitar up to now the amplifiers I’ve been using for bulky and unreliable. This mixer amplifier is just perfect for a small to medium size room holding up to 300 people. It is very is it to use has every session you could ever require and on top of that it is small light and portable. The clarity of the sound and the various settings for a singer or singers is awesome. If you’re going to buy yourself one mixer amp to do you for a very long time this is the one for you I could not recommend it any higher. One small drawback is you will have to purchase a separate case or bag to carry it as it does not come supplied .from somebody who’s been working...
Behringer PMP 1680S

I Recently purchased the behringer 1680's to power a set off Bose 802's and a pair of the Bose 305's base bins. I also have the Bose towers or 'Twin towers' that I normally gig with, but I always loved the thump and quality that I still can only be got from the old 802's..... Anyway got the behringer after doing a small bit of research and I was BLOWEN away with the quality and performance of the behringer 1680. Anyone that knows the Bose 802's knows that you need an external controller box in order to get sound from the 802's but because the behringer has a built in crossover, I don't need the external controller. The "power" from the behringer is truly phonemail and a word of "warning" ..... Be very careful of the button that allows you to change from 800w...
Behringer PMP 4000

Use We use this desk as part of a bundle we bought (with some TBox 15" speakers) with out 3 piece covers band, drums guitar and bass. We mic up only the kick drum and 2 vocals for most gigs and this powered desk will fill any room we have taken it too. Combined with the very good TBox speakers we get a good even sound across the whole room. The 2 monitor channels are a fantastic feature. The feedback detection works perfectly. This is well made and would recommend to anyone. Pro's - fantastic sound, loud and clear, fills any room fantastic value for money Cons - I would recommend a case or hard protective lid to cover the controls as even though this is a well made desk, I would not tour with it without a case.

Behringer PMP550M, they struck gold again, I have recommended this item to others who could not believe a simple mixer,( simple,,, equalliser, feedback detection and five channels) could be got at this price and with this quality. I have other behringer equipment from microphones to a 26 ch mixer and provided you dont totally abuse them they last and last as well as any big name items. Recommend, especially suitable to those in the food and drink trade as a good quality investment if put with a wireless microphone, pair of speakers and a music player/i-pod. Also much better purchase than secondhand equipment for a cash strapped startup group.

We - 5 people rock cover band - use this mixer to drive our PA in the rehearsal room and to power the stage monitors when gigging without a dedicated sound engineer. We are using all available mono channels and are very happy with the features - the power amp with Speakon outputs, two pre-fade monitor mixes, two FX engines (we use a fair sounding reverb for the four vocals and a bit of chorus for acoustic git), not-at-all noisy preamps, faders, and knobs, very low fan noise under load, fairly precise "meter bridge" (quite sufficient for live music). In its Thon case, it does feel quite heavy, but can still be put on any cab or small table when on-stage. After 2 years of use, we have one defective LED but it's pretty nearly perfect. We have used its older sibling (PMP4000) for 8...

We use one of these in our mobile radio studio setup, and it's proved very useful in this configuration. Coming in a reasonably compact unit, this has proved invaluable for our team. With everything we need for a small portable studio on board, this fits our purposes perfectly. This unit also has excellent build quality and excellent audio quality. It has performed reliably since we started using it. Pros: - Excellent build quality - Excellent sound quality - Wide variety of features, no compromises in our case - Very reliable Cons: - None!

For the PMP 500, I'm using in my band rehearsal studio(around 300 ft.) and using a pair of the speaker (by T.bone) PMP 500 is a great option for the low budget or beginner band to setup their own place indeed. easy to use, clear user interface and all the I/O are quite easy to route or patch, Pros -LightWeight -Reasonable price -Easy to use -build-in effects Cons: -fader and few knobs touching not very well. All the function and patching are listing on the layout, no worries to miss or some mistake during your taking action form PMP500
Yamaha EMX 7

This powered mixer ticks most of the boxes for a quick and easy way to set up sound for bands at medium-sized functions and pub gigs. I've used and abused Yamaha powered mixers for many years and didn't worry about reliability once. However it was time for more modern FX and more power. What I like: Weight and portability. The large metal handles front and back make this easy to transport and go some way to protecting the mixer controls. Digital amps are great!! I have used this with inefficient line array speakers and the amp didn't struggle once to drive them to significant levels. Sound quality was good and full, perhaps just a little on the dull side (might be my ears accustomed to a previous cheapo power amp?) Layout. The rear connections are placed in such a way that the mixer...
