Perfect snare for dynamic playing.
Even though the drum is shallow, it sounds much bigger than you would expect from its look. It’s very warm and open allowing it to handle a wide range of dynamic levels. It seems to be best played at a medium pitch, which makes its great great for rock playing, which again, it doesn’t look like it sound because of the shallow shell.
The single re ring on the batter side gives it the snare a nice puffy sound and makes it a backbeat feel nice and fat. It’s an absolute joy to play.
