Good for the money
When you're buying a £20 splash, you know it probably won't sound the best since it's most likely brass. This is no different. I use it for my stack and it sounds great, but by itself it's not the best. The quality is amazing however, which is the norm for Meinl.
Not bad for the price
I'm not a drummer but I needed a splash so I got this cheap one.. I'm not super happy with the sound and feel but It does the job... I wasn't expecting much anyway for this price. Feels a bit "heavy", I would have preferred a bit softer or thiner maybe, but again, maybe that's too much to ask at this price point and I'm a not a drummer so this is just my humble opinion.
Good for fills
If you want to use it in fills, it does the job. But if you want to use it more as a headline, it's quality will not be sufficient.
Better than expected!!
I use it on an acoustic set (cajon, snare, hihat) and I love it! Full sound with attack, not thin or something, and durability (two years now with extreme humidity in house). Can't beat it for the price!!
It was not what I expected
This cymbal is a bit weak. If you hit it strong it will bend. It has a reasonable sound, though. Very cheap, so truth is you can't expect more.
Super
I like that this cymbal is very fast comparing Zultan 08" Aja Splash. Clean bright sound. Finish is also very good comparing Zulatan splash.I have both splash cymbals and they make very diffrent sound. Nice effect cymbal.
Meinl 8" HCS Splash
The Meinl 8” HCS Series Splash cymbal is pretty the bang for the buck. Given that for this amount of money this splash has an excellent vibrant sound which gives an amazing bright tune. In general this cymbal is just a great piece of kit to have on your drum set.

Impressive!
The Meinl 8 inch HCS splash cymbal surprised me when I played around with it. After paying the cheapest price for a splash cymbal, I noticed how the potential came to life. The sound echoes for around a second and the pitch is high and sounds brilliant as a sound effect cymbal.
