I am very happy with this cymbal. I wanted something that could work for both country music and/ or punk, and i have found it. It’s a very versatile cymbal - it does both ride and crash very well, and dynamically it is easy to play it soft or loud and everything in between. It sounds amazing on recordings. It is totally with the price.

Paiste 18" 101 Crash / Ride

I planed to use this cymbal as only cymbal besides hihat for my quiet setup. It is still quite loud, and it sounds more like crash than a ride. It is possible to use it as both, but you need to have good control over your strokes. In my opinion it is suited more for rock, than jazz which was my initial use. It has decent sound overall, and nice bell.

Its what you would expect from a dry cymbal, its got great stick definition, but i dont think you would use it as a ride. This is a great cymbal for jazz or light music, as it is very thin sounding with very little wash, you will not find it loud when playing with a full band, that maybe a good or a bad thing depending what you want. I use it in a wedding band so the volume of the band is high, in this case for me its more of a effects cymbal like a china however its not as intrusive, the initial attack is strong but it fades away quickly . Its lovely for accents. Im glad i bought it, its nice to have in the arsenal for different situations, and as value for money its very good for what you pay.
