Ride Cymbal

Its a yes..
Great wash and versatile sounding cymbal..
Extra light
This cymbal sounds amazing and has a beautiful wash, however being so light it barely has any stick definition which makes it hard to swing on in higher volumes. I ended up using it as a crash for louder settings, still a beautiful, very musical instrument.
Amazing sound, very versatile!
Bought this Ride to join my Meinl set-up and it couldn't have made a better choice! The Cymbal sounds amazing!
It has a very bright and open sound and builds up beautifully. The Cymbal is very thin which I really like but it sometimes makes it a bit tricky to handle as a ride cymbal. Therefor its probably best for quieter playing styles, brushes or thin jazzy sticks. On the other hand you can just chuck a some moon gel and there which instantly makes it much drier and easier to handle.
Personally I use the cymbal as a crash - and I absolutely love it. It is very warm yet bright and cuts perfectly through any mix live as well as in the studio.
Whether played with sticks, mallets, hot rods or brushes the cymbal always builds nicely and can give you a proper 'crash' sound at any volume.
