This is great value for money. I found it best to dampen with water before fitting. Then gradually brought up to pitch as it dries out. Excellent upgrade from plastic / low quality stock heads on most I have seen....

I needed a non-standard head for a small hand drum, this was not the right size, my mistake. But I do have other instruments where it can be used, so I kept it.

Better for indoors gigs (specially if you use mic s) of course the mullet will make a big different no matter the size of the skin. They are durable specially if you play outdoors often.

If you're looking for the perfect timbale head, look no further. The LP 247A Timbale head looks and sounds exactly as you would expect. You can imagine Tito Puente ripping a solo on the timbales everytime you hit it. Nice and very resonant with warm deep tone. Will definitelty buy again.

I've placed this head on my aluminum arab darbuka, and it sounds great. It's stable and durable,so far I didn't have any bad expirience with it. The only thing you should watch out for is to take the correct measures of your current darbuka head (in case you are not using a meinl darbuka) before buying. All in all,it's a great product.

LP 843 6" Mini Timbales Head BK

Very high pitched head for the smallest "snaredrum", but easy torned because it is very thin, more "plastic" material than the material off a head like "ambassador".
