Disappointing

I was looking for a compact, low profile mic stand for amplifiers but I'm sorry to say this one leaves A LOT to be desired. Even after tightening the axis screw with hand tools and adding electrical tape to the joint.the stand won't stand upright. Even with an SM57 which is not a particularly heavy microphone the stand droops immediately. Can't recommend - unless your microphone is lighter than a feather.

Great value stand

I was needing a short mic stand to mic a cello (don't laugh, there's a good reason!). This worked great. Solid on the base and solid extension. I suppose my only issue is that it could be a little more stable but then it would be a different product so no complaints from me.

Well built and solid, a bit of a handful.

Keeps the microphone in place, clearly made to be put against an amp and works perfectly for that. It can be a bit of a handful to reconfigure, but that's a sacrifice in the name of compactness and simplicity.

Not the best, but ok...

This stand unfortunately has not the stability I was expecting. Once I place the microphone on it to mike my amp, it starts to slowly fall down so it must be always set to the max opened position. Ok, I use it for other purposes, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Cheap and well thought out

I like this stand I bought two of them - I use them live or studio - very compact stable and well designed.

Needed tightening, but a good solid mic stand

I bought a couple of these for tabletop microphones. They're really solid... now. When they came, they both collapsed as soon as a microphone was inserted as the hinge was really loose. A quick adjustment with a 4mm allen key, however, and they're both really solid now.

Perfect for guitar amps

This small low profile mic stand is made with high quality parts and can handle being used constantly.

One minor issue is with big heavy microphones, this stand will hold them but the main arm does un clip slightly and could collapse.

But appart from that this mic stand is pretty perfect for guitar amps and is completely stable with medium and smaller sized microphones.

good quality but turned out not to be what i wanted for a desktop stand as i have a better one but a versityle stand non the less great for kick and snare bottom mic.

Handy piece of gear.

Cheap but handy and useful. Cheap is not alwasy poor quality. Hear its not, actually very well made. Not for heavy duty robust handle off sourse but is studio and at home absolutely nothing more you need for the job.

Does it's job, need it do more?

This was CHEAP, you need a little round thread fitting piece thingy if you are putting a shure mic on it. That was a negative, but not really any fault of the product...

Seems to work, holds the mic --> 5 stars.
