Millenium KS-2010 EX Reviews
Amazing!
Used with a small Yamaha synth, Very sturdy and robust, you cannot go wrong with this one!
5 stars!
Does the job but could be better
I bouth this for my 49 key midi keyboard that weights 3 kg and while the stand does hold it up securely there are a couple of problems (at least with mine):
1) my keyboard doesn't sit flat. I fixed that with a little bit of padding on one corner
2) I wish the vertical posts could be taller. it doesn't make sense, since normally a keyboard stand would be set-up quite wide and because of that the vertical posts of this extension would have a narrower angle resulting in less vertical height
3) those plastic things that hold the keyboard from sliding down aren't mounted in the same angle and one is not holding my keyboard at all, but since I use the midi keyboard very lightly it's not that big of a deal for me.
4) maybe I didn't notice but I'm pretty sure that the nuts for those bolts that you use to mount it to a stand were missing
All in all, for the price and for what I need it works great!
not bad
main trouble was it did not fit 100& on the main stand - it was ok for the few shows I was doing but would not be totally happy if I were playing keys full time.
Value for money.
I bought this as an extender for my Millenium KS101. It is solid and of good quality. Very stable. Value for money.
Good enough stand for the price
I use this stand as an extension in my home studio, which means it stays where it is.
Once set it feels solid and sturdy enough, but I have to say I was a bit worried when mounting it the first time. The 3-adjustment-point system is a bit awkward to manipulate with only a pair of hands and it looked like the joints would just break when tightening the screws. Now that it's installed I wouldn't take it down for fear it might actually break after only a few mounting/un-mounting.
In short, it's okay for studio use, when you don't have to take it down once set, but I wouldn't go for it for gigging purpose.
Good, but not perfect
I bought this to put a smaller MIDI-keyboard over main keyboard, which is on KS-2010 stand. The extension is very compact and easily adjustable. However, thanks to its 3 adjustment points, it isn?t that quick process, especially when compared to EX-2010?s one handle adjustment. Also, one of the mounts to the main stand doesn?t tighten so tight as the other, which adds a little wobble when playing upper keyboard with more force.
Besides that, it is simple and reliable addition for the main stand for low price.
2nd keyboard tier
Bought to hold my synth above my main controller on my
Millenium double-braced stand.
Looks the business, holds 2nd keyboard firmly in place.
Only note; this stand has to be removed before collapsing main keyboard stand.
bonne solution pas chère!
cette extension de stand est de bonne construction et robuste, elle peut néanmoins être compliquée à fixer sur certains pieds de synthés.Plutôt stable, elle assure un bon confort de jeu
It stays up
I use my KS-2010 EX for a 61 note synth. If you want the top keyboard absolutely parallel with the one on the KS-2010, you may have to do some tweaking at first. It comes out of the box very easy to set up and it stays up. Mine has been set up for weeks and it is very stable. It is also lightweight.
With a 88 note keyboard on my KS-2010 and the synth on the EX, I find the angle of the KS-2010 EX very acceptable in use. It has end caps to make sure it does not slide off the extension. It has large knobs to enable easy adjustment and they are effective in keeping it in place.
Great for the money
This extra stand is great for the millenium KS-2010 which is what I use it with! It holds my mini controller in a stable position. However, sometimes it can take some time to get in the right position and can be a clat with the 3 lock points and sometimes makes you wonder why you don't have 3 hands. For the money it's great and for what I need it for (to hold a midi controller over my stage piano) it's a great piece of kit!
Price vs. Quality
I needed a solution to stack my Stagepiano with a Mini-Synthesizer, so I bought this realitve cheap solution. I use it with the Millenium KS-2010 and it was easy to mount the Millenium KS-2010 Ex on it. It's stable and doesn't move if you locked it, but it's a little bit annoying, that you've got three "Fixpoints". Also it doen't have a Quicklock for previous settings, so you have to adjust it every time. Further you have to get it exactly parallel, because if one of the legs isn't as the same height as the other, your keyboard is going to wiggle while playing, very annoying. But after a while you're going to habituate with it. So it's a cheap, stable solution, though, I wouldn't buy it again.
excellent product
very good and sturdy product. it fit perfectly onto my millenium keyboards stand and is extremely handy for a second keyboard at gigs. it can also be narrowed in the event that you may want to sit an ipad or something on top of it. it folds up very nice and tidily and is very compact and doesnt take up much roon on stage or in the van which is important. i would definitley reccomend this product to anyone who perhaps is using a keyboard and a midi keyboard at gigs. it makes it so much easier to save space on stage and as well as that it looks great and looks professional
Solid support
Very stable second tier for x frame stand
Stand Out product
I needed a second tier for my Millenium KS101 stand and I wanted to keep to a budget, so i took a look at the KS2010 and gave them a try. They are good quality and I use them often, This involves being folded down for rehearsals and out to gigs on a weekly basis and they have not let me down. The construction is solid and they hold my weighty old YamahaSY35 keyboard and thats a heavy beast. Great product for the money.
The perfect expander for a Millennium stand.
Well-pleased withn this extension for the double-braced keyboard stand. Once tightened, it securely supports an additional keyboard. The one I put on is fairly light-weight, and there is hardl;y any movement at all. It is also easily adjusted for preferences for height. Pity it doesn't incorporate a music stand though!
