Walking bass drum
I bought this drum to use for crowd interaction in my band. It's a soul band with brass. A certain point in the show, the brass and wireless guitar leave the stage to Interact with audience. I bought this so I could join them.
At first I found the strap difficult to put on as it is quite small. No instructions in the box. I eventually realised that the straps needed to be tied to the back of my pants at the belts parts. Once I did this, then it was comfortable. A little heavy as well but I'm a big guy so no problem holding it. I haven't even put a blanket or anything in it either. I damping one side with my hand as it is quite loud.
No case for it but it seems sturdy enough. Very happy with it. Cheap drum which does what I need it to do.
Surprised How Good This Is
We bought this drum for use in a Rugby Stadium as part of a brass ensemble. We were well and truly surprised at how good this drum turned out to be considering how small it is. It has a great sound with lots of volume which can be heard at the other side of the stadium. It is also very light to carry, which helps a lot when there is a long walk to the stadium.
The only downside which we feel requires a mention is that the straps are pretty useless, we use them as a carry handle only. I'm not sure how good the drum would be to march with. Perhaps a different harness would be required.
It works OK for us though as the drum sits on the ground when in use.
