the neck

the neck is not deep enough where the small screw goes in and should keep the seat in place; it happens a lot that the seat comes of during playing :)

Pretty decent, it does its job

Will do, but not for a long term set up.

- Very affordable and overall ok product but would not recommend.

- It is very easy to put together, however, no matter how efficiently I put the top of the head on, it unscrews and can become unstable if you don't pay attention.

- The seat has a funny air compression thing when you sit down and get back up, which I don't mind too much, but the seat itself is fairly uncomfortable when sitting on it for prolonged periods of time behind the drum set.

A little squeaky but it's cool.

It squeaks a little but it's solid enough, hasn't failed in over a year and it doesn't give you a numb bum either.

Good, sturdy, not too hard, confortable enough for rehearsals, easy to adjust the hight.

Great for the money

A basic drum stool bought for a young drum student. There's nothing fancy about it, but after six months in use, it has been doing the job without any problems. The seat is a bit small, so I wouldn't advise it for an adult player.

Never use a chair and a cushion again. When you are playing away from home on a regular basis, buy one of these thrones and leave it there. It’s not so expensive and it’s one less thing to forget/carry/setup.

The reviews were right! It's great, until you move.

A great interim solution. But if you move, the stability game is over.

I was tossing up between this and the €100+ Tama. I read all the reviews before buying but you never know... so I took the gamble. And they were right. It's a quite alright bit of kit, but has some downsides.

The good:

The bottom half is solid. Really good.

It is light! A good light. Not a flimsy/weak light.

Very affordable.

The bad:

The top half... not solid. If you swivel at all (really like 10 degrees) everything loosens. The seat clamp loosens, the main shaft clamp loosens and the helper collar loosens.

The main threaded shaft has a lot of slack. Resulting in the seat swaying 1cm or so at the top. Doesn't sound like much, but it is when your playing.

Maybe some plumbers tape in the threaded shaft would stop this wobble.

The cushioning really does reduce to almost nothing. Manageable once your in the "playing zone".

Conclusion:

It's certainly not bad. A great interim solution or backup. Try plumbers tape to stop the thread wiggle and add a little Ikea stool cushion.

Doesn't negatively impact my drumming, but could be more stable.

As a beginner drummer, so far I have had no burning issues with this throne. However, it could be a bit more stable and probably not the best for your back.

Not the best for tall drummers

Got this throne with my kit bundle, but I'm 203cm tall and it's a bit small for me.

The threaded high adjustment comes lose very easily (literally in 20-30 seconds) and gets very wobbly. Probably because I had to pull it up quite high, but otherwise it would be too low for me, however I didn't really try on lower seat positions for obvious reasons.

If you're tall you should probably avoid it.

Overall

It’s good. But the soft seat is not that good.

Cheap and it shows

I bought this in a bundle with e-drums and it's okay-ish for light use. The seat is like an air cushion and all the air gets out when you put your butt on it. Not comfortable and supporting. The adjustment and locking mechanism gets loose and have to be tightened every time I play drums. I would never use this throne for band practice or at gigs.
