A bit flimsy

I'd say that it's a bit flimsy at worse. It's not a bad product at all, especially considering the price but I'd opt for something more expensive next time.

The 3 legs are sort of weird with 2 of them being longer than the 3rd and it makes for awkward placement in tight spaces. Also, the thing that tightens the microphone to the stand is really easy to get loose and I had to keep re-tightening it.

Just save a bit and get something higher quality. You'll not regret it in the long run.

If this is the only stand you can afford just know that you will have some issues.

The mic stand is kinda flragile

The quality of this stand is not that great. A lot of parts are made from cheap plastic. I have used this stand for quite some time, but it breaks bit by bit on it's own. the locks get really loose with time even if you only use it at home. It is actually where I used it. If the mic is a little heavy it has difficulties holding it.

Could be more compact

At the first sight this stand seems pretty compact and quality build but when you are using it, you can see that is not the best in the market. It's not bad but it could be stornger and more stabile. It does its job but if you want the stand that will last for years I would recommend you stand in the higher price range.

The pros are the cheap price and the lightweight .

Good for its job

As a Stand it does its job but the build quality is not good and it tends to be a little rigedy

Not for professional use

The quality of the material is very poor and even with not heavy mics it bends easily. If I had to buy another one I'd go for a better one.

Not so stable

I wanted a backup stand for my Hercules stand.

Being used to Hercules stands, these didn't seem all that good, but they were cheap enough.

After giving them a try, I have to say the screws aren't the most reliable, and the joints look kind of weak.

And sometimes, after trying to set it right, it ended up going down, when it's set near the maximum.

It works though, not super stable, but works.

So, I'd say if you have no problem with a not super stable stand, give it a try.

Good for the money

Most of the stand is great. I did find that the mic boom screw doesn't really lock the boom arm extension very securely. 7/10

Problem holding a mic

It had a problem holding my mic (Samson cs), it seemed like it couldn't hold it's weight.

You get what you expect

It is a very good product for the price it costs. However, my main criticism goes to the lack of good stability.

Ok for cheap minis.

Overall build quality is ok

The boom pole extention is a great addition as I always end up needing it.

Tigheners are sized nicely, and seem to last well through punishment.

Small footprint when packed up. And heavy enough too.

A budget stand

This stand for me was disappointing. The tightening points came loose and caused it to swivel.

It usually is used for my bass drum and doesn't get much hardship that say a vocal mic stand would get because its stationary but at the same time it could have been better built.

It is heavy enough which is beneficial because if its kicked it wont go too far in a live setting.

In conclusion it could be better but at the end of the day its price reflects what your going to get.

what you get for the price

i used this product at home and for concerts. it worked pretty well with my Rode M3 microphone. but somehow the stand is not so stable and it seems that the microphone is to heavy for the stand and i had to set the stand again and again during a concert which is pretty embarassing.

SUM: Good for price but if You need something to use every day (move placement) search for something better.

Average

I use it at home for recording and practicing. Overall quality is not that bad for the price you pay but clearly it lacks of stability especially if the microphone you use is quiet heavy (some condenser microphones for instance). I would not rely too much on it and will clearly replace it for something more sturdy in the future.

my mic stand

I have bought this stand two months ago for my SM 57 mic.

It was very cheap but its price reveals it's quality.

It's built with low quality materials and if you need to change its form or position few times a day it will fail most likely.

that is a stand for amps or instruments so you can t use it for vocals because it s too small, don t try!!! :)). anyway if you think that you won t need to change its form and position very often it will do the job for you, and it s not expensive at all.

They ok not heavy duty

good for home recording.

Not so great

I use it for mic ing my amp in my home studio. For a live situation wouldn't be the best choice.

You really have to gather hard if you want to be stable.

So if you want to put it in one place and leave it there for a long time is a good choice but if you have to move it often and change the position, high, etc. this is not a good choice at all.

A little bit cheap and plasticky, but ok

I bought a few of these to try out before buying a number of them, mainly for orchestra pit micing. Whilst i'll be keeping the ones that I bought I think i'll be looking elsewhere for any further ones. They do the job fine, but the plastic elements in particular seem a bit fragile and are of a shinier, cheaper grade plastic than most other mic stands I've had. I'd be concerned about tightening up the nuts too hard incase they stripped. I've tried it with a large diaphragm condenser mic with the boom on a long extension and the boom locking nut wasn't sufficient to support the weight of the mic.

Does the job.

I got this stand as I needed a smaller mic stand to mic up my bass drum in gigs.

After looking around at the prices of some of these stands, this one was the best price I could find.

On arrival the stand was great. It had stability to it and felt of good quality.

Over time the stand has got a little flimsy, and has become damaged.

I think this is a good stand, but does need extra care in its keeping, to prevent damage being caused.

For the price of this stand, it is great value for money, I would say it is more suited for studio use as opposed to a touring environment.

Fine stand for light use

This is a stand that will get the job done, but not for a lifetime. If you take care of your gear this will hold up for quite a while. If you trow your gear around and treat it hard this stand won't stand for that!
