Solid mic stand

I bought this to record an acoustic guitar with a small diaphragm condenser. This mic stand is really heavy meaning the chances of it toppling over are very low, it adjusts and expands at several points with jeally good clamps and folds down to a nice practical size.

As I said, I bought it to record and acoustic guitar which I'm sat down to do, but this expands far enough for me to also stand up if I wish.

All in all, a good little mic stand with lots of good uses.

They reach where no other stand does.

I have 2 kinds of the same model, multuple pieces. First of all, you can reach the ground with the microphone. That's a must if you plan to record drums. Also excellent for guitar cabinets. It can hold a Sennheiser E 602 II sidewasy when the main boom is extended (I suspect it would hold it with the telescope boom extended as well but I never had to try it.) The only drawback is that the fixing screw eats the black paint immediately so your boom will look bad even if you take care. Otherwise perfect.

Good stand for the money

First of all, the 3-leg construction is far better than a round-base for the bass drum usage. It's really stable with medium-weight microphone (Beta52 etc.) and, using an extension arm, you can position it right next to the beater contact point inside. Easy to use with the guitar amps. Overall, construction is pretty good, if you do some proper tightening of some threads before the usage. One of these stands have been used by me for more than 100 gigs already and still works well. Of course, you can find a lot better quality products from the other manufacturers, but for this price, it's the best offering.

Solid short boom stand.

As fully featured as you need it to be. Extendable boom arm great for mic-ing up instrument cabs, snares, kick drums etc. Have these in stock almost a year with no broken parts yet, so lasting well, especially so for the price.

Impressed for the money

I dont usually buy cheap stands 0 but after buying one of these as part of a larger order I have bought many more - these are excellent value and MUCH better than you would expect for the price!

Very good value

I have two of these stands and use them mainly for recording kick drum, low speakers on cabs and front of the drum kit. They are well made and easily adjusted. I tend to leave the mics I use with these stands so they don't get a lot of handling, save for putting them out and back. They are so compact I can just leave them in the corner til I need them. They do not feel like budget stands and I am sure they will last me well in their current roles.

Very handy little mic stand

I have been using this small mic stand for several years now without any problem. It is compact, but extends sufficiently so I could use it as a spot mic for hi-hats, snare, floor tom, room mics etc. It can be adjusted in many ways, height, angle, and rotation, so that it can be placed in exactly the right place. I have used it with small pencil condensers and dynamic mikes and it has has proven stable in all those uses. The various locks have also held well and remain tight. A very good stand that comes in handy and is very useful.

Robust and adaptable

Running a very small venue, half stands come in very handy since stage space is limited. At the same time many lack the basic functionality (and especially reach) of larger booms whcih can make them tricky to use with snares, glockenspiels etc. Not so this guy. The extra extension length on the boom arm mae it perfect for drum work, whilst remaining discreet and unobtrusive for those watching the show. The profile of the legs is relatively neat without the stand becoming unstable. It has also lasted well, with ll joints and fastenings still pretty much as good as when we got it. Would highly recommend for any similar use, especially for the money.

Brilliant little stand

I use this stand daily in my job as a session guitarist. It's purpose is to mic up my guitar cab and the size of the stand is perfect for this application. All mechanisms are solid and balanced. This means I can consistently position microphones within very tight tolerances and always get a great sound to front of house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this stand for other purposes such as drum micing or table top broadcasting applications. Due to its squat nature you will have issues with it toppling over and the screw in clamps have never failed me yet. Brilliant product!

Surprisingly good

I didn't expect these to be so good for the price and I have been pleasantly surprised.

They have seen regular use in my home studio and on stage at many gigs over the past eight years.

They are as good as the day they were delivered.

Studio use

Either dynamic (SM57) or condenser mice are handled with ease unless you have a heavyish condenser out at maximum reach the boom holds very still.

Its well balanced and doesn't move a nice dive for amps and acoustic guitars, very happy i bought more than one of these.

Good small mic stand

I use it for micing an amp cabin. It has the correct height to make it easier and take less space. It is actually less flimsy and more stable than other larger Millenium stands, which was a pleasant surprise. For the money, unlikely you can find a better stand.

love these little stands. bought several for micing the kick drum and snare top and bottom. also great for guitar and bass amps. very good quality. have them 3 years now and no regrets.

Insanely useful!

used for mic-ing guitar cabs and drum kits, every stage should have 4 or 5 of these little beauties kicking around.

the stand feels solid and sturdy without weighing half a ton, It places the mic easily without taking up a massive footprint, and it folds down neatly and compact for travel.

if you want professional quality stands on a budget, look no further.

Surprisingly stable

Great microphone stand for snares, floor toms, guitar amps etc. Surprisingly stable when set up considering the upper and lower parts seem to fit a bit loosely during assembly. Anyhow, for this price it is nothing short of a steal.

The perfect snare mic stand

This is a fantastic stand for snare drum mics. A small footprint for getting in between drum stands. Then, when it gets really awkward for the positioning the mic in a tiny gap between the kick/toms/hihat/stands, the telescopic boom arm really helps you reach in there, and the solid base keeps it anchored to the floor. All metal contraction too, which is a nice surprise at this price point apart from the thumb wheels (plastic) for tightening everything up, but not had any mishaps so far in 3 years.

This thing is a little Titan, it'll hold microphones and other microphone stands hooked up to microphones - and it'll do it all without wobbling a bit. Perfect for mic'ing up guitar amps.

A fantastic little stand

This is a wonderful small microphone stand, and for the money it is absolutely unbelievable. I have used lots of these stands over the years and the quality for price ratio is very high. Although the main body of the stand is small it actually extends very far on both the body and boom arm. It can get more or less tall enough to even use as a stand for a vocal mic at a push. The main applications for this stand are for guitar amps, kick drums and anything else close to the ground.
