Millenium PD-111 Pro Bass Drum Pedal Reviews
Good Starter Pedal
I bought this as part order with Millenium MPS-250 electric kit more for my son's practice purposes,it performs very well,as a professional drummer i'm used to more heavy constructed pedals so i haven't tried it on the road,i think the spindle connections instead of the usual foot plate support you get these days might be more suitable to lighter playing and also sometimes they can slip out, perhaps a jump up to the PD-122A would be better for prolonged heavy playing, still this pedal is doing what we intended it for perfectly.
Decent looking piece
It's pretty good ,i paired it with the other millenium equipment
not flimsy..i like the sound of the tip
its pretty okay
great for the price
I also am using this pedal on a wooden cajon that I made. it is working perfectly. quite easy to adjust and is very rugged.
Unbeatable value for money!!!
Used in studio and live, this pedal cannot be beaten for value and quality for the price. Actually surpasses the response of a lot of higher priced pedals and feels like a pedal 4 times the price. Highly recommended for all levels of drummer!!
Basic choise for a drum pedal .
Its a good chep but basic choise , durable and solid .
I recomend this pedal for a spare one or for drummers focused on simple bass drumming .
Pro pedal for very small price
I have this pedal as a replacement of the millenium single pedal that came with a drumset.
It is in fact a pro pedal. It's solid, very well done, and also very cheap! If only it came with a foot plate it would be perfect! the two beaters are worderfull. The size of it its also very nice for big feet. The response of the pedal is also very smooth and accurate.
A great first pedal
The first pedal I bought. After trying out other, more quality (and a lot more pricey) pedals, I realized this one is a bit... unresponsive, or slow, perhaps. BUT, this was my first pedal, and i became accustomed to it. Because it tends to lag a bit after hitting the bass drum, I find I can play with this pedal a lot faster than any others. The response to actually pressing it is fine, it's only the bounce back that can be a bit slow. But like I said, this can be a huge advantage. Also, for the price, the quality of this thing is great.
Great for a first pedal, would't get it if you're looking for an upgrade
Very Nice Feel
This is a very nice feeling bass drum pedal with an extremely smooth action. Obviously it is more flimsy than a pedal with a full baseplate but as far as this kind of pedal goes it is very good even compared to more expensive brands.
Your basic beater
The basic lightweight bass drum pedal by Millenium. It came shipped as part of a set I bought. I used the pedal a little before switching to a double bass pedal set up. The stability leaves something to be desired but for the price you can't expect the best.
Good value for money.
I recently opted for a second bass drum and decided to get two of these so i'd have matching pedals.
They are good value pedals for beginners....however as a drummer of 22yrs i found them not to my taste. I drum in a heavy metal band and found that they are quite light and tended to lift up at the heel when playing fast patterns with your heel up. I also found the pedal board would move left to right quite easily which was annoying. I soon opted for a pair of higher quality pedals.
However i can see how these pedals would be good value for money for those on a budget or drummers just starting out.
a great pedal for price
i bought this as a cheap pedal to add to an electronic kit and was not disappointed it is certainly a great pedal for the money well built in line with all the millenium products you wont go far wrong with this pedal
Works perfect!
Works perfect. This is nice sturdy pedal. I've tried few others but this is defenitely good for the value.
Solid, Affordable Peda
I recently bought 2 Millenium Pro Hardware sets for the house kits in two rehearsal rooms I run. Before we had an assortment of handmedowns and stands cobbled together from other bits, so I was looking for an affordable yet reliable replacement. I found what I was looking for with the Millenium hardware, this kick pedal is rugged and feels great, it stands up to pedals 5 times the price.
I was very impressed with this pedal. The chains feel good to play and its a lot more durable than i thought it would be. I play long gigs every week with it and it hasn't given me any issues at all since i bought it.
The foot pedal plate detaches from the main body for easy packing and it does not take you much room. The mallet has 2 sides which is nice to have the option of changing if needs be.
For the money i paid for this i think its great value. I didn't expect too much from it but it has worked perfectly with no problems at all for nearly 2 years now! I consider myself to have quite a heavy foot when playing and this has taken all i the abuse i can give to it.
On the negative side i dont like the way in which it attaches to the drum. It comes with a key to tighten it down but its quite difficult to do if you forget to bring a key.
Overall i would recommend to anyone for a decent low cost pedal.
Simple but effective!
This is my pedal for live Jazz concerts and it is perfectly suited to that role. It is light but well engineered, which is a good combination on gigs. It also looks good!
Good job
This pedal does the job I asked it to do and didn't cost a fortune. It's lasting well and still looks like it has many years of service left!
kick drum pedal
i received this as a replacement as the original arrived broken. it feels cheap and wobbly. it would do the job for a beginner or a child but you will grow out of it very quickly. buy a quality product and it will serve you well.
Millenium PD-111 Pro Bass Drum Pedal.
This pedal is very well made. The action is excellent & plays alot better than some other manufacturers pedals which cost alot more.
Good pedal
This pedal has lasted a couple of years so far and works very well considering its price. It is easily modifiable to make it suit your pedaling strength or style. I recommend it if you are on a budget or just starting to learn playing drums.
Review - Millenium PD-111 Pro Bass Drum Pedal
Not a drummer, used this only while playing a bass drum with my guitar. Very easy set up and easy to set to the tension you want quite fast. Not sure what drummers make of it, but as a starter it does me fine.
