Excellent recorder at great price

The Moeck 4290 is a fantastic maple recorder, which I purchased at an incredible price. I have given the features four stars only because the recorder takes a while to warm up, but once it does it has a really lovely sound. I suspect this is not an issue of design, but rather that the cold humid weather here in the UK does not suit the soft maple wood of which this recorder is made. This said, it is worth persevering with the warm-up each time, because the results are fantastic. The price of this Moeck was unbeatable. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.
