Valuable addition to my home studio

Use:

My home studio setup consists of Line 6 Firehawk FX and FR/FR monitors. Being not quite happy with the cabinet simulators included in the Firehawk FX I checked for affordable cab simulators so I decided to give the Mooer Radar. Eventually it became part of my home studio setup, being added to the effects loop of the Firehawk FX.

Pros & Cons:

Two only cons with regards to Mooer Radar - firstly, updating the firmware can be a bit complicated on Mac and secondly - the power supply is actually bigger than the pedal itself. Maybe Mooer should think of a more compact solution.

Besides of these two - amazing sound quality and no issues at all.

Comprehensibility:

Very easy and logical to operate, although the included software is a bit sloppy, but most probably the guys at Mooer will address this issue.

The included cabinet simulations are very good an realistic, the unit is way smaller than I expected (which is actually good), but still it is built like a tank. Highly recommended!

Great for what it is..

Great product to run your own cab-sims or carry them in your pocket.

If you have your own sim collection, everything else on this product is an extra added benefit. Stick on headphones or feed it to the desk. It does the job.

Default sims are highly usable and tweakable but nothing outstanding,

At this price, I can't think of any cons in format. Unit gets a little hot when in use, I hope this does not have a deteriorating effect in the long run.

Best small form cabinet simulator

Bought this for a small portable rig consisting of a rack tube preamp and effect unit as a direct feed for the front of house. The internal IRs are already a good starting point for this, but you can go deeper and upload your own IRs! It is very possible to get even better results than miking a cabinet onstage when gigging in small venues. Only one small thing that I would love to be otherwise - it requres 12V PSU and is very power hungry, which means you cannot use a standard pedal board supply to power both the Radar and the rest of the effects you might have.
