A good reverb pedal that's let down by its mix knob

The pedal by all means is a good pedal. 3 different functions, studio, cathedral and plate.

I was looking for a reverb with big decay, something to make prog music with. I wanted to sound like the smiths or other 80s guitar sounds.

This pedal delivered but only just. It has a mix knob that can blur the original sound and put too much of the wet signal in.

Ideally it would have a wet and dry signal knobs.

Stuido reverb is kind of subtle, nothing to wrote home about, could be good if you want very subtle reverb for color.

Cathedral is good if you want nice big reverb. Nostalgic sounding. It can get really big and the decay can go on for a good amount of time.

The plate reverb can be subtle or really drippy and wet. I'd say it's actaully as good as the cathedral setting.

We all know what we want from a reverb and that's either subtlety or massive wetness.

This pedal does both, but I am annoyed by the mix knob, it let's the pedal down a bit.

Apart from that criticism it's my main reverb for now. It's good enough for the price. You won't be sorely dissapointed like you would be with some other reverb pedals.

It's a safe bet, but just be aware about the mix knob.

Did I mention the mix knob? lol.

Basic little reverb; does exacty what I bought it for.

Bought this lil' verb about a year ago together with my first tube amp (Marshall Origin 50H; it doesn't have a built in reverb).

I wasn't very impressed with the verb at first but after a full year of experimenting, I can honestly say that it does exactly what I needed from a basic reverb.

The breakthrough came when I did a proper guitar setup a few months back and everything started to sound as I wanted it to. The main problem was that my pickup's (humbuckers) were set way to high which caused the reverb to respond way out of proportion, very harshly, as did the amp incidentally. Once the pup's were set at the 'correct' height, the reverb performed very nicely interacting with the amp. I've been finding myself using the 'church' mode predominantly.

Conclusion: If you're looking for a basic reverb to add to your amp without too much bells and whistles and with straightforward controls, you should try one of these.

Could be better

I used it on my practice pedalboard. I wanted something very portable and I went for mooer styled effects. This one sound fair, but it's a bit too dark for me and a bit muddy. Eventually changed it to HOF2

Amazing for its size and money

I didn't know what to expect at first but when I got my hands to it I realized how good sounding and versatile it is, covering from lighter tones to atmospheric ambient stuff. Highly recommended!

Impressive little box!

This pedal is very impressive. Small yet sturdy, its cheap and yet it has very refined sound.

The mooer minis are a series of pedals created to be very simple, small and to capture a slight taste of the sound created by some of the most famous pedals in music history. Ive read reviews on how some are hits and some are misses. In my opinion, the Skyverb is one of the hits (it reminds me a lot of a certain famous Strymon reverb pedal which is also blue :)

Bypass works fine, all of the knobs work perfectly and have something useful to add to the pedal (even though they are quite small).

This pedal is a great option for anybody who wants/needs some/lots of reverb. Creates some of the nicest wet reverb ive heard in this price range. very small and easy to use, it is a very appealing little box if youre not too keen on spending a lot of money for a more expensive reverb.

I found it!

I was using the shim verb by Mooer, but I was not completely satisfied with the type of reverb. I decided to buy the Sky Verb that is a kind of "standard" reverb, without any particular effect. The quality is very good considering the price.

Wow great cheap Verb

I have a Supernatural. Digitech pedal that I adore and is great quality in sound close to Strymon I would say, and this Mooer Sky Verb is holding its own. Its not on the same level as a Strymon quality of sound and the Supernatural is a gem (sadly no longer made). It also does not have the flexibility of a Hall of Fame, but quality build and sound its very very close (I prefer the Mooer, always found Hall of Fame to be high qulality, useable, but sterile sounding, The Mooer has life to it. If you want big verbs but are on a budget this works very vey well well great pedal

Versatile Reverb Pedal from Mooer.

As with all Mooer pedals - I have 7 of them, this compact pedal really delivers.

It has a wide range of reverbs available with Mix, Tone, Decay controls and three way toggle for reverb types: Studio, Church and Plate.

Since buying this pedal I am never short of exactly the sound I'm looking for.

I particularly like the "Church" setting as it gives a creamy smooth reverb without those, and this is a personal thing, oscillation waves like spring reverbs.

The sound quality is excellent throughout and the pedal is well built in a metal case.

These tiny pedals are far better than their price indicates, and the Sky Reverb is no exception.

Compact size, huge sound

This Mooer reverb pedal is perfect if your looking for a compact pedal that will deliver a good range reverb sounds. The three options of Studio, Church, and Plate reverbs, and the easy to use and sensitive controls let you create the perfect reverb to suit your sound, whether you want a gentle small room effect to give your playing just a touch of extra depth, or the sound of a huge hall for those emotional 80's solos.

Like all Mooer pedals the Sky Verb is nicely compact to fit easily into your existing setup without too much hassle.

Easy & small pedal! It has long and large, spring reverb sounds!

I am using with fretless (4,5,7 string basses) and fretted (4,5 string basses)...
