good for tabletop
This product has the best shape to put a small but frequently used Eurorack essential module on a table. One disadvantage is that the square nut is not fixed, so it is a bit tricky to place the module. There are limitations in choosing modules because of the shallow depth, but fortunately I was able to mount all the modules I wanted.
I love the quality of the case an the fact that it fits with my other moog gear. The price is also very good but I'd have preferred to pay a little bit more and get an integrated power source (0hp) and adapter like you get with other moog synts of the same format.
Good stuff
Very elegant and compact. Not too big. Easy mobility. Not suitable for putting the power supplies inside (storage reasons and potential ventilation problems of the power supplies)
Helps keep any potential static noise because of boards being open (tape or tube related, etc.)
Nice little case
This is a nice little case, especially if you have some Moog Mother 32's in a 3 tier rack and wanted to ad some complimentary modules.
For a 100 euro I did expect some extra features in the light of power supply. It's a small case so adding a power module wastes a bunch of space already.
I decided to get a power supply kit and mount it inside the case, drilling a hole in the back, so I could use the full widht of the case for modules. There are features in the case that allow you to screw things down, probably for the Mother 32 power supply.
Turned out great!
Great design, small finish problems.
The case is great, actually cheap compared to what the competition offers in the same price range. It comes with moving nuts for mounting the modules and screws, more than enough of each, probably more than needed. Mounting new modules after a period of time is easy because you can always remove a wood panel and slide new nuts in, even if the case is mounted on it's rack (I've already done this). The nuts are also square, not hexagonal as standard which means they slide easier and get stuck less often. The construction also permits you to attach some power modules on the inside because it has a sort of rails - probably used to mount the power and output module of the Mother 32. That is awesome.
My only beef with it is that the wood panels have a lighter color than my Mother 32 unit's panels and even slightly differ in color from each other whereas Mother's panels are pristine.
