Great

Using it everyday in my midi based studio. Using a free patchbay midi software it starts to behave in a really powerful way.

a good midi interface

it replaced both my worn M-audio midisport 2x2, that kept freezing up, and a yamaha yme-8. but I'm more dependant of a computer now, since the yme-8 was pure midi, with a wall wart power supply. Update: I have lost contact several times, but it only takes a disconnect & reconnect for a restart ;-)

Solid dependable kit

I only installed this last week, but it is exactly the way kit should be.

Install drivers, plug it in, plug in gear, fire up ableton and it all works exactly as it should do.

I'm using it via a cheap 10 port powered USB hub from China (with 6 ports running, mostly carrying midi from USB connected instruments) and my timing is all in and consistent.

I didnt need SMPTE sync, midi machine control, midi merge or pedal inputs, just a bunch of ports so older DIN MIDI only gear could have dedicated ports. It does this at half the price of the Micro Express and actually has 5 sets of ins/outs, not 4 (plus 2 extra outs)

I believe a lot of people buy the M-Audio MIDISport 4X4 which is 2/3rds of the price, but I read about some driver issues and couldn't be bothered fighting them so spent on the MOTU.
