Rude and musical: never read a better description
I don't think there will ever be the perfect distortion or the perfect overdrive. But you can combine a few and see the result. This one sounds awesome by itself (especially with the crunch on) or with a compressor, but (without crunch) paired with an OCD or a big muff, it makes your day, your evening and your night. Plus, it's beautiful to look at.
Great!
The MXR 78.... Is a leally good distortion if you´re looking for that 70´s sound!
MXR 78 Badass distortion pedal
I find this to be an excellent pedal. With controls set at 12 o'clock, I get just a classic rock sound, powerful, warm yet with a treble end - as I like it. I play a Fender Am Tele through a Bugera valve amp.
The construction looks solid, yet it is lightweight and small. Controls are fine. One minor detail, the foot switch could be smoother: it requires some force to engage and produces an audible click.
