Great sound.

Very customisable, and a great sound. Hard to go wrong with that. In the past I've mostly used Guitar Rig and Line 6's delay, and this pedal has a substantially nicer sound to my ears. It's also completely robust. I can't envision it breaking.

The only downside is you need a screwdriver to get at its batteries, but I'm currently using an AC adapter anyway.

Simply Superb!

Packed with excellent tones all of which are easy to dial in.

Although it appears to only have a few options the Carbon Copy has a fantastic range of options once you realise the range that each of the knobs controls. Easy to dial in a new tone quickly and precisely, enclosure is fantastically built and well finished as ever. LEDs are very very bright, which is kind of cool although if I had more than one I might need sunglasses!

Only improvement I'd like to see would be a tap tempo OR an led that showed the delay setting. Still incredibly versatile in its current state, holds place as a long delay/ on stage messing about alongside my Timeline.

MXR M-169 Carbon Copy delay

I find this is an OK delay. I personally use these settings: REGEN (number of repetitions) from 7 to 9 o'clock; MIX 12 o' clock; delay 9 o'clock. This provides a mild but noticeable reverb (tile room) with no change of tone. I tried higher levels, e.g. REGEN and DELAY around 3 o'clock, but the unit lost control (feedback). I have not yet experimented the settings for rockabilly slapback, but I guess one can obtain them.

Rockabilly and Surfers best Friend

I was looking for a Slap Back Echo for Rockabilly Style. After some researches I got me this analogue Delay. Why an analogue one? Cause I have a very traditionell Rock 'n Roll setup. A Gretsch White Falcon, a Blues Junior and what fits else as this nice Pedal. I like the simplicity but effectivity from this Pedal. You have to learn it and than several Millimeters will change the hole thing. From Slapback to nearly Pink Floyd Stuff you get the original Soundideas. The chorus Mod works ok too and is a nice plus to get some different sounds. If you are looking for a Tap-Delay, Looper etc with the danger of unnatural Sounds the MXR CC is the wrong Tool. The MXR is for you folks who like a natuaral Delay with touch of the good old Times.

True Bypass is a Plus too and it's build for Liveperformance.
