Neumann KH 750 DSP
Active Studio Subwoofer with DSP

GOOD
I have a perfectly satisfying music life with neumann kh80 and 750
Great sub
I love this sub with my neumann KH system paired with MA1 correction. It sounds so natural and unhyped. The lows are clean and not boomy and it makes decisions a lot easier when mixing
Nice
The combination of this and the KH80 may be conventional, but no other investment has contributed so much to the level of my recent mixes. It matters to me that the bass is visible.
Great Sound
Got the KH 750 DSP as a low end addition to my KH 120As. Calibration didn't work at first, but after contacting Neumann, they told me to wait for the next update. Did that and calibration worked fine that time (didn't recognize my 120s in the calibration software settings before, now it does).
My room is quite close to 25m², so I was looking for a subwoofer that was suited for smaller rooms. So far my neighbors haven't complained. It's expensive, but good quality.
missing peace of the puzzle
if u use kh series of speakers you must need one of these with calibration mic this tools are amazing to make difference about acoustics in room you set and forget 1 time and everytime you work on music you hear the perfect balanced sound in your room. must have
Great compliment to KH 80!
I should've got this earlier - I always thought a small room home studio would never need it, but I was wrong! It's always nice to have a subwoofer to take away the bass duties, so that all the speakers won't work as hard and mixing decisions are absolutely a piece of cake! I also tried out the MA 1 calibration engine and I'm very, very satisfied with the end result. Get it if you can spare the fund!
Mindblowing, OMG
I don't know where to start seriously, I am beyond happy. I have recently bought the KH80 from Neumann and I started to realize how precised everything was coming out, from reverb tails to transient responses, etc...so I've bought the MA 1 mic and decided to give it a try with the DSP mode. Needless to say I was already speechless, the linearity was yes...linear, but without any side effects from other softwares like Sonarworks for instance. I then decided to go full beast and buy their DSP sub and....OMG!...I have just finished calibrating the kh 80 with the kh 750 and I am MINDBLOWED. Believe me, I went to so many studios and I know how a reference system should sound and this one guys and girls...it's the ultimate weapon. So precise, so tight, super deep and whatever you wanna add. I'd say they are easily compared to some 10k speakers in a seriously well treated room. Go for it!...PS: I never review shit, but I HAD to let you guys know about this one
Nice complement to KH 120 speakers
Very good build and perfect complement to my KH 120 nearfield speakers.
However, the software for setting up is locked and vendor specific (Apple iPad) and requires a fairly new OS version.
I have an iPad which is a few years old and which I do not use anymore, but I can not use it because of an older OS version.
It can not be upgraded to the required version, and find it way too expensive to buy a new iPad just and only for this purpose.
It would be better to adapt the software suitable for older iPad's as well or release a version for eg Windows or Android as well.
Therefore only 4 stars, but 4,5 stars would be more appropriate.
very impressive sound, dsp is another great selling point, good to have.
I use the subwoofer in my home studio in combination with the Neumann KH120a.
Thanks to the built-in DSP and iPad application (it is a pity that only for this platform) it is possible to set the whole system and configure it to your needs very quickly. A nice surprise is the possibility of delaying part of the system to ensure the best results. This is the first sub that I was able to set up without any problem.
Thanks to the proper placement and the fact that the enclosure is closed, I have no problem with resonances in the room (I have several bass traps installed) and I can hear even the lowest frequencies - that's crucial because I work mostly on electronic and rap music.
Saving poorly produced numbers I don't have to wonder if any elements get in my way but I just hear it. And customers hear it too. :)
