As any 25-keys keyboard, its more for those with music knowledge and experience, focusing on DAWs: quite tricky to play some chords. In my case it was the best choice due to its size, price, build quality and more-than-just-keyboard functionality altogether since I'm also interested in DAWs, though the idea of getting a larger keyboard still remains. The only small dis: no RESET button which could be useful sometimes when changing the running software, so it quickly detects the keyboard. But thanks to mini-USB (not micro-!), it's not a problem to just plug the cable out and put it back in.

I originally bought this little keyboard to go with a Maschine 3. I eventually decided against the Maschine but kept the GX Mini as it was far from expensive. I have to confess that. so far, I have only used it as a keyboard, so haven't explored all of the advanced controller options available. However, even though I have a full sized keyboard sitting next to it, I've found that it is an excellent little keyboard, particularly when it comes to pitch-bend style lead lines. It seems that using a radically different controller to the one I'm used to unlocks a different approach to music making, unlocking unexpected creativity. I would recommend this keyboard for that point in itself. The above might not be the case for everyone, but the build quality and features are great for a mini...

I bought the white one first (not Alpine), then sold it, and in between a few different controllers:(Novation keys 49, samplers like the Roland SP which was amazing also, and Ableton controllers like Novation + and AKAI. This one just is a perfect size and has great and very inspiring keys, the best actually I tried in all mini keyboards. Also knobs, drum pads, and faders! Extra footswitch input. So I sold it all and went back to it now! Glad that there is an alpine one now. Fits very well with my all white desk setup! Good for having more light around, especially in the winter. Only thing would be great if it has the fixed length button that exists on ableton controllers.

I wanted something mini to carry in a shoulder bag; to control "Bassalicious" (bass synth app) running on my iPad. I bought a 3.5mm to jack lead and it goes straight into a PA. This mini keys sits on top of a piano and I can play left hand bass. I wouldn't choose or use this for anything other than the fact that it's so small; that's exactly what I wanted. I can carry it on the tube in a bag over my shoulder, along with the iPad. So to summarise, this should be a choice for someone who specifically wants something mini. It works great for that. Anyone looking for something for home use or full size would choose to look at different models.

Wanted a small, portable, yet robust MIDI keyboard and so far I'm very impressed with this little thing. Feels nice and solid, the mini keys are not super-tiny, the light-up touch strips are stylish and responsive, and the knobs/buttons are solid. Best of all, there's a sustain pedal in, USB MIDI out AND 5-pin MIDI out - amazing option for expanding a small groovebox setup for easy chord/note entry. Haven't dug in too deep yet but so far I'm pretty happy! Note the weight, if you're going for a portable setup - it feels nice to have the extra heft in the build but it does add a bit of weight

For the price, it's really a great product. Sure it's plastic all over, but the build is still quite sturdy. There's nothing high end about it of course. But the keys and knobs have a nice feel to them, and I find playing on it a pleasure. The tiny display makes it a little bit difficult to navigate the controls on the keyboard. Although that's not really a problem for me, because I prefer to use the computer to control the keyboard, and not the other way around. The real strong point of this unit is the software compatibility, and easy of use.

For a first controller keyboard I must say I'm pretty darn impressed with the Minilab 3... I'm mainly a guitar player with some basic piano background and bought this to lay down some chords and backing tracks on Garageband to play on top with guitar, I wasn't really sure what practical use I would give to the faders and knobs and all the extra stuff that seemed daunting on some reviews. To my surprise after 2 hours of experimenting with it along side Arturia's tutorials I completely rediscovered and fell in love with Ableton Live (Lite 11 is included) and all of its potential as a creative songwriting tool. I also tried it with Garageband and Logic Pro (trial) with great success, but of the bat Live had an awesome integration and the most "hands-on"...

I bought this MIDI-keyboard because I wanted something with enough options in terms of controlling my DAW and plugins, something to write small melodies and something that would fit neatly under my desk as well. The keyboard comes with number of great features and is easy to setup. My computer recognized it instantly and I had no problem with it communicating with Reaper. I use it mainly as a controller and for initial songwriting ideas but the 8 drumpads are especially nice when used with MIDI drums like Superior Drummmer. It makes it easy to quickly play and record beats. Also, the ability to call up you mix window, the knobs latch function and the quality of the keys themselves has made this a stable in my studio, still small enough to carry it with me when I am on the road. The Korg MicroKEY25 USB MIDI keyboard is a good "portable" tool due to its small size. It is USB powered and equipped with a joystick for modulation/pitch bend, a key to activate the arpeggiator (which is tempo-synced), a key for sustain, and of course the keys for changing octaves. The keys are semi-balanced ("Natural Touch") and give a good feeling. Compatible with Windows, Mac OS X (as well as iPad), I tested it with FL Studio without any problems. Recommended, especially considering the price.

Works perfectly with Mac. There is a lag when using Korg software but no lag at all when connected directly to Pro Tools. It meets my expectations and I like it being small as it is. We use it when helping singers in the studio. Fits perfectly in Gravity Tray 2. We use it with USB since it works automatically without any extra steps. Wireless connection works well too, just it requires an extra step in Mac to connect it every time you want to use it. Would be better if it would connect automatically.
