Absolutely beautiful strings, and strangely better balanced than any other 009s I've tried. A bit pricey but worth it!

This is perfect for people with Nickel Allergy

They are bright, and they are really nice to play with. Makes wonders for my nickel allergy, and I’m ordering 2 packs for my bass soon.

This is for all of us affected with that allergy.

Looks and feels great

Bought these just because they seemed cool, and for their promise of extra rust resistence.

They are simply cool, they look absolutely amazing.

I however did not notice anything special in terms of sound, but they did last quite a while.

Would recommend

Break them in and they last forever

At first they have a very bright sound. Once they get broke in they will sound like a new set of strings for years.

Golden choice

Not only do they look awesome, they feel awesome play awesome and sound awesome.

To me they have a vintage-ish sound but that’s subjective, I guess. I’ll buy em again when they’ve worn out... still going strong after many weeks.

Superb quality strings!

I used Optima 2028EL (.009 - .042) Electric Guitar strings on Fender Stratocaster. The sound is reach, full range from low to high frequency. The strings got bass! Great sound on Strat + solid-state Marshall and Strat + all tube VOX.

Pros: Quality, amazing feeling when you touch it. The strings are soft and very responsive. Great sound! Additional benefit is great look of a guitar.

Cons: A bit too expensive.

I recommend Optima 2028EL strings . I will buy it again for sure.

Wonderful

Firstly it's a good feeling that my fingers are playing gold strings, and not nickel like peasant guitar players do.

Secondly they look great on my Jackson RR5 with gold hardware.

I haven't used them long enough to have an idea about the lifetime of the coating, but I clean them with string cleaner after use anyway.
