Optima 2399

OK but nothing too special

I just tried them but did not like the tone they have out of the box. Too thin and metallic to my taste. Slappers might like them though, as they deliver a lot of highs, but again not my taste,

I bought them hoping they will last longer, but not sure about that, time will tell (only used them for a day now).

Good looking strings

First of all, the strings look veeery nice (if the gold colour fits to your bass). But the gold coating did not survive a long time. I play every day about 2 hours and after 4 weeks the coating began to crumble off. The sound was still okay (not like new strings but acceptable). All in all i wouldnt buy these strings again. I prefer simple stainless steel strings.

Great Strings

Not quite as bright in sound straight out of the pack as regular strings but bright enoughtay, and last for ages so well worth the money
