AKAI Professional EWI 5000

Based on 4 reviews
I've played the EWI 4000S during almost five years. The EWI 5000 is a great step ahead, the instrument maintain the overall characteristics of playability and capacity of adjutment to personalize it. the sounds are clearly better, also the selection of instruments, mainly wood wind and some brass, I agree to the discard of the string sounds. It is a wind instrument ! Of course the sounds don't match a real instrument. Who like a real sax sound, must buy a sax ! The degree of expresivity is the same of the 4000S. The wireless work very well, I've tested it far away of the receiver, it brings to the instrument a fantastic freedom. I still haven't tested the soun edditor. It is an useful characteristic to have a default sound bench and a personalizable user sound bench. At the next link...

I'm just copy pasting the review of the deluxe version, but keep in mind, this one is a little smaller, and it takes a bit more effort to play in comparison to deluxe option. "For everyone expecting to be the talk at the parties, if you want your SO to start hating you, and packing their stuff as soon as you stuff the batteries in this bad boy, you're on the right track! I've been wanting to have this since I first saw it on "españa tiene talento". I've delayed buying it because I always forgot to put it in cart when ordering other stuff to get free shipment in my country. Well, I've bought it now, brought it to a party and ordered 25 more for friends and family. Some are saying I'm bringing a new plague to this country, and if I am proud of what I've done....
Roland Aerophone AE-20

I expected a glorified digital recorder but I got a real instrument. Initially, I was disappointed with the sounds, but on further review using headphones, I see that there is more to the sound layers than was initially told. The marketing by Roland does not do this product any justice. There is a lot more than has been said. If you think this will make you a better musician, it won’t; it will only magnify your flaws. Only if you are ready to fill in for different parts and to build your craft the right way should you think of getting this instrument.
Otamatone Techno White

I've bought it as a funny little instrument, prank of some sort, if I may. Yet it shown itself being pretty educational. You'll learn to perfect vibrato, you'll learn how to play notes without seeing frets or similar markers and it's fun to use since it looks ridiculous. Switching between voicings is easy, they are different and if you connect the instrument via line out people around you will even hear it. There's not much sense of using it unplugged in case you want to use it as a serious thing. In general if you know what you're getting you're going to love it, in case you don't know what otamatone is, just go for the cheaper version.
Roland Aerophone AE-10

I'm not new to electronic wind instruments. I have an Akai EWI USB & EWI 5000 as well as Yamaha VL70m synth with a Patchman Turbo chip. So quite well equipped. I nevertheless was attracted to the AE-10 for multiple reasons: The fingering is basically identical to a saxophone, Roland sounds are generally top notch and it has some cool features allowing to play along with backing tracks with e.g. an iPad. The sounds generally don't disappoint though obviously my Selmer saxes still sound a lot better. But they are way better than the Akai EWI's, even using the Patchman chip on the VL70m. Just use a decent speaker or headphones (The built in speaker do not sound ... very good). The keys still needs to get some time to get used to. The AE-10 has buttons and it plays not nearly as...
Otamatone Classic Crystal Clear Blue

Pure joy, the otamatone is just so funny:-) I work from home, and when the day doesn’t go well, I pick it up, play for a minute and laugh with its funny sound. I bought the transparent blue one, and it looks great. With a yellow led inside, it might even turn from blue to green. Anyway, I love it, and I think it’s a perfect gift for someone who likes new sounds. It’s right next to my guitars and basses, a respected new member of the family. PS: don’t just touch the “fretboard”, but rather press your fingers on it. That’s how it makes sound.
Terre Jew´s Harp Botchag B1 (H1)

Based on 1 reviews
This was bought based solely on the images. It caught my eye as being handmade as the frame appeared to have slight irregularities in the picture. It appears to be a Russian made harp and is of good quality. The sound is higher than I expected - B1 sounds to be a low tuning but this harp is higher than expected (though still tuned to B.) I prefer that so as to play melodically rather than a lower bass sound. The tongue is nicely stiff but not excessively so and the end is rounded, making both inward and outward plucking easier. I like the shape as well, though that is a matter of taste, of course. The frame does indeed have very small irregularities indicating hand finishing rather than mass production. The size is 8.5 x 3.25 cm. The gap between the frame and the tongue is small. This is...
Yamaha YVS-120 Alto Venova

It's not a saxophone and you can't expect the sound of the real thing. It's also not fingered like a saxophone so anything you learn on this is falling short of helping you with a real sax, BUT I play it every day and have so much fun. I got a really good mouth piece (Vandoren AP3) and some proper reeds (favourite: Fiberreed Copper) and then it can actually sound really cool and you can play some softer notes due to the much better response. Even with all the additional costs for upgrades, its cheaper than an entry-level brass sax and I'm super happy to have a portable almost-a-saxophone that fits in every handbag.
Flight KZP Elise Ecklund Sig. Kazoo p

Based on 1 reviews
I was hard for me to get that you shouldn't blow into the kazoo, but should just sing with it in your mouth. When I understood this kazoo became the easiest instrument to play. I got three different and each has different sound, that's cool. This is my favorite one from these! That's cause the sound is melodic and pleasant like you're playing some cool instument. I'm so excited, it's easy, cheap, small, therefore one of the best instruments for me. But you should take into account that it's loud and might annoy people around
Nuvo jFlute 2.0 extension set black

Based on 1 reviews
This upgrade kit turns your Jflute into a proper flute when you feel ready to drop the original curved head. It contains a C-foot (Jflute lowest tone is low D). There is not much to say about this kit, except that it works perfectly. The really cool thing about it is the new plastic tray that comes with it. You can put it in the case of your Jflute, making it possible to keep using it for carrying your upgraded "adult" flute :) All in all : works very well, comes with a perfect tray for the Jflute case.
