Sound Design Heaven
Portal is great since it is loaded as an effect not an instrument. The amount of modulation that can be done with it gives you a great potential for creativity and sound design ideas.

I love using this on HiHats or Claps. Very nice to add dimensions to otherwise stale overused sounds.
