Bought these for a suitcase kit. Has a really nice dark sound without being too sharp which is just what I wanted. The only downside for me is that it's hard to get a good sizzle out of it versus my usual hi hats but otherwise they're great for a small set up.

This Schlagwerk Hi-Hat is a great addition for anyone seeking to expand their cajon into a small cajon-drum kit. I have used the Hi-Hat in combination with a cajon and two other Schlagwerk Cajon cymbals (the 12" and 14" crash/ride). Together with a small snare, it results in a low-volume and versatile cajon-drum kit. In my opinion, the best result for playing this hi-hat is achieved when played with sticks; Sticks are indispensable for getting that crips hi-hat sound, and also result in a better sound balance between the cajon and hi-hat. As ever, the quality Schlagwerk's products is excellent, and so is the price.
