Palmer DACCAPO

So good

I've used the popular reamp box [REDACTED] for years, or rather I've tried to use it for years, but every time I bust it out of the cabinet I am reminded that it sucks 12db off my source, not to mention the high freq loss. The amount of compensation I needed to do in the box made it extremely cumbersome to use.

So I bought the Palmer DACCAPO, adjusted the volume knob for unity gain, and I can't hear a difference from plugging in directly. This has instantly unlocked so much potential for fun pedal shenanigans and reamping instruments.

Great Re Amp box

This worked a treat have used many re amp devices and price performance wise nothing comes close unless you pay twice as much.

Great sound quality overall

This reamp box does all that it's supposed to.

I use it to reamp my recorded DI guitar signal through my amps in search for optimal tone. It's very neutral, the signal path is clean and extremely quiet. It allows me to run it very hot through a high gain tube amp without adding noise or any kind of unwanted artefacts.

On a side note, make sure you use short cables. Long cables will add noise via EM interference, which is normal with these devices.

The Best in it's Price Range.

This affordable little Reamp box is an absolute life saver in the studio and punches well above its price in terms of usability and effectiveness.

Pros:

- Incredibly affordable, at 65euro it's a steal compared to more expensive Reamp boxes.

- Fantastic build quality, this little box is made of solid metal and built like a tank. I've accidentally dropped this box countless times and there isn't a single scratch or dent on it after extensive use at home and in the studio.

- Great sound quality, I've noticed no drop of audio quality at all when Reamping through this box.

- Perfect features, having a dedicated level knob as well as a ground lift and a -10dBV and +4dBu button are all incredibly useful features on a Reamp box and they are the exact features one would require on a Reamp box.

Cons:

- I can't think of any, this little box has made my life in the studio so much easier and I can't recommend it enough.

If you're looking for an affordable studio tool that you will use for years to come and will likely never break or need replacing, the Palmer DACCAPO Reamp Box is definitely for you, cheers and thanks!

Not the best, but fine

Does what it needs to do, but there are better options out there in my opinion. If you're on a budget and need reasonably good reamping box, this will do just fine.

Very straight forward Reamp box. Nice and sturdy and very clean sounding unit.

Does the job, easy to use

I needed a simple reamp box to do some experiments and this one was the perfect choice, low price, simple controls and works just fine.

I'm no professional noticing subtle frequency losses but at the same time I got a sound which to me sounded exactly as it would on a direct connection so...it's worth its money!

And considering that the other alternative was the Radial which was much more expensive.

Quite good.

There's a slight loss of signal. There's also some noise from time to time but that could be my PC's doing. Overall it's sturdy and does the job easily.

Best you’ll get at this price range.

Use it regularly for reamping guitars, synths and even vocals. Every studio needs one, good crack!
