So much fun

I have never played a trombone before but decided to treat myself to this. I was really interested in a Tuba but couldn't afford one so this was the next best thing. I can't compare it to other instruments as I have no experience but I can tell you that this is great fun to play. I brought it to a band rehearsal and everybody wanted a go. We ended up doing an impromptu 10 minute b flat Jazz extraviganza. If your thinking of dipping your toe trombone I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this. I was able to get the 3 octaves of B flat after only minutes messing with it. I would suggest buying a mute for practicing. These things are surprisingly LOUD! lol

pro's

Very light

Fun

Easy to play

cons

Not really a con but it could be bundled with a mute

A fun instrument!

This is great instrument! Do not expect it to be as good as one made of brass, however. A plastic trombone cannot be expected to deliver the same tone and projection. It is a real instrument, though, and not a toy.

However - the most important thing is the intonation. All notes are playable and in tune throughout the whole range.

Ideal for young kids (due to the weight and cost), parties, carnival, football matches (think - slide vuvuzela).
