Peterson iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad Adapter

Excellent product, albeit a tad expensive

I bought this to use with the Peterson strobe tuner Android app, and it works perfectly.

Pros: Does what it says on the tin, plugs into a standard small jack socket on your phone and turns your phone into a tuner (so long as you've downloaded the app).

Cons; It's a bit on the cheap side feel wise, i think the jack plug could be a bit more heavy duty, but hey.. it still works. The Peterson tuner app isn't free, you have to pay for it so make sure you include this cost in the total. it's available from the Apple store, and the android App store. it's not expensive, and at just $9.99 is excellent. >

If your phone takes a type c plug you will also have to buy an adaptor so you can use this plug with your android phone. I just upgraded to a new Samsung Galaxy that doesn't have a standard jack socket so had to buy a short adaptor cable. Not the end of the world, but just one extra cost I didn't think about.

Great adapter

Have a few of these now, keep them in my guitar cases and use them for a number of purposes from connecting to my cell phone, computer or other interface. If the need arises, I'll buy more.

Perfect tool for handy strobe tuner

This is the perfect tool for connecting your instrument to your iphone loaded with the Peterson Istrobe App.

It matches perfectly your instrument signal with the App providing you an excellent tuner that will fit in your pocket and will follow you everywhere. Highly recommended.

Useful for practice

I use this in the dressing room to plug my guitar into my iPhone for use with Amplitube app for practicing and warming up before gigs. I think it would actually be really good if this included a headphone out too, only thing that would improve it. The cable is good quality and doesn't feel like it will break easily. It's also really useful if you have a tuner app on your phone, like the Peterson iStrobe, which is an amazing cheap version of their tuners. I haven't tried this straight into a laptop but I can't see why you would have any problems, it should work exactly the same...

Works great!

I bought this to use with Da Tuner Pro app on an android phone (Samsung Galaxy) and it works perfect. I also tested it with the Guitarists Toolkit app on an iPad and works perfect with that too.

Like anything cable-related, I guess you will need to be careful with it to ensure a long life.

Just as accurate as the Strobostomp

Plugged this into either my iphone or ipad. Almost identical tuning accuracy with the Strobostomp, which I also have, when I use the Peterson app on IOS.

Considering the total cost of less than 20 euros including the app, you can't go wrong with this one.
