Thomastik Spirocore E Bass 3/4 medium

I tend to use Bel Canto G, D and A as they are better for bowing but always use Spirocore for the E string because it has more depth
Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Slap E String

Great feel. Nice tension. Great quality of finish as always with pirastro. I always used an Oliv E before. This will now replace it full time. A bit thinner and not quite as dark sounding, not as much bloom and fundamental, but for pizz it's better, for slap, not quite as nice, but not far off. Fir the price, great string!
Gut-a-Like Deluxe Single String E

This string solves an issue the regular Gut-a-Like had for me. The regular Gut-a-Like strings are good strings, but the regular Gut-a-Like E-string is quite loose, which means limited note sustain and the occasional over-vibrating and colliding with the A-string (=awful sound). I caught myself deliberately avoiding the E-string because of this, but with this copper winded E, I can finally enjoy the long sustain and good tension that avoids clipping into the A-string. My advise is to stay clear from the Gut-a-Like and pay the extra and go for the Deluxe string set, which comes with a copper winded E and A. Tip: this string is equal to the Gut-a-Like Twister Copper E String.
Thomastik Spirocore E Bass 3/4 light

While not as beefy as the usual orchestral Spirocore I'm used to it balances excellently with the solo strings I am using downtuned to A, D and G
Lenzner Gut E String 1314 3/4

I love these strings. Great value for money. Only downside?, same as all gut strings; need a little more TLC than steel an tuning is affected by temperature change, ie hot stage lighting. Still highly recommend this product
