I have used this string for a year. Everything works perfectly. When I played a rather high note on this string, it produced a very sweet, clear, and glorious tone. Maybe it will be a little bit too bright for some double bass players (not a dark tone), but I'm obsessed with that sound. Love it very much.

Evah Pirazzi in orchestral tuning is very popular and good sounding string. I played on that set several time and I was satisfied. This solo string is the same feel as orchestral tuning ones and it's really nice and smooth under fingers. Doesn't bend a lot so it has a firm tone when pressed against the fingerboard. I'm just not really satisfied by the sound of it. It's good but shallow and lacks deepness in the tone. Lacks resonance and overall colour that Evah Piazzi usually has
