Cheap, solid, good

Sound quality isn't the best ever, which is the only bad thing about it. It's not even bad, it's just noticeable. Very good value for money.

For the price it is a very nice interface!

Works perfectly with Linux

Bought this for a Linux laptop with which I wanted to record music. It worked perfectly out of the box: no installation of anything required, it was recognized at once, configuration was easy, and I didn't need anything special to start recording (I'm using Ardour with Jack). If you're looking for something simple and hassle-free for Linux, go for it!

The best sound card in terms of quality / price

I had the first version of this card, but that's 48. It sometimes crackled when I turned the PC on and off. And didn't work with thick usb cables. In the updated version of audiobox96 all the shortcomings have been fixed. It is also very important for me to have a separate volume for the main and headphones. What competitors do not like. I like the sound. I liked that presonus also writes drivers, not "install asio4all should work"

Sporadic digital noise issue

Faulty pots. Sporadic noise regardless of gain level high or low, audible during audio playback after recording ditigal or analogue instruments.

I sent the item back to get a Focusrite instead for better chance of getting a device that doesn't emit the same effect. Otherwise it worked fine, shame I had the 1 in 100 that had this default.

Very good in that price range

Nice, black(!), low latency, solid behaviour on Mac platform, good drivers for Windows, comes with some free software.

It will not beat professional cards, but then, professional cards are ten times more expensive.

It is really very good interface for home and mobile studios on budget.

Bought again

I have owned one of these for 2-3 years and it's been great, so buying another for my son. Well made case, inputs that work for XLR or TRS jack are great, phantom power useful for condenser mics, and being able to mix input/playback is very useful when recording. Using with Logic Pro for recording various instruments, never had an issue. The headphone socket is on the rear, which might be a problem for some. Spearate output control for phones and monitors is useful.

Good Interface for Beginners and Veterans

This interface is perfect for home recording and when you're out and about. I use it for all my recording at home and the sound quality is really good, nice and clear.

The price is fairly reasonable for what you get and it's good for beginning recording engineers who want something simple as well as veterans who need something robust and not too expensive.

Only cons is that it is a fairly cheap interface so you may want to upgrade at some point and my one had slightly noisy pots when turning them but it wasn't big of a deal.

All and all, would recommend.

Very good for what it is.

This is a pretty simple interface, but that's all I was looking for. I record my own songs at home, one instrument at a time, so I had no need for multiple mic inputs etc. Having a small number of controls it's easy to use, and installation of the bundled DAW software was fairly quick and painless.

Occasionally there's a glitch with the software when you first log in but it's usually just a matter of waiting a few minutes, or logging out and in again. The interface itself works just fine and does what I need it to do.

soso

It's soso in general.

That's exactly what I thought.
