Acoustic Guitar

Latest User Reviews
Well built instrument, no faults at all.
Purchased this guitar based on some research online and was looking for good looking guitar that sounds as good as it looks. Played few hours after getting it delivered today and it is a nice guitar, however the strings feel a bit old and out of date to be honest, and that is my only minor complain. 899 euro guitar, or any guitar really, would sound so much better with fresh change of strings to be honest. Guitar arrived set up well with no adjustments to be carried on delivery. Good action, nice sound and it is very good looking instrument, case is of good quality too. Somewhere between 800-1000 euro is not a sweet spot where you get a lot of choice these days. That particular guitar however does the job and looks really nice, I did try the onboard Fishman electronics and it was working well with Katana amp on acoustic mode. To summarize if you are looking for a good loking and nice sounding guitar consider this one. If you are loking for the highest spec acoustic for this price, eg solid wood all around, you might find something else that suits you better. Saying that the PRS is a solid choice and the guitar looks and sounds great.
Beautiful sound and look
Overall I can really recommend this guitar.
Tone: nice balanced tone. has a definitive bass to it as well but not a boomy as a Martin (I don't really like the sound of the Martins)
Playability: it has the PRS neck, which is a very comfortable neck profile
Electronics: it has a fishman pickup, which sound pretty good. If you need to use it in a live situation with a band, it can sound really good. It is nice that the volume and tone control is on the inside so doesn't ruin the look
Build quality: didn't find any issues with it, the fret ends needed a little filing to make it perfect but out of the box it was 8/10. And also I think except for custom shop guitars you will never get perfect fret ends. The tuning machines are really really good. Perfect tension, doesn't stuck, best tuning machines I tried.
Look: well it is gourgeous. The ziricote is really astounishingly beautiful. My Sitka spruce top has its little bearclaws. Some people dom't like it, I actually like that it is not plain, it gives characteristic to the guitar. Maple bindings perfect, ebony fretboard amazing.
Plus you get a nice hard case, that fits the guitar.
Overall I am really satisfied with it and brings joy every time I play on it. Really inspiring, and looks nice in the room.
Love the sound and feel
Absolutely love the sound and feel of this guitar. It's stunning, with a crisp bright sound.Comes nicely set up by the European technicians, who does the final setup and quality control ( according to a note inside). Comes with a nice generic case. Have not fully tested the electronics, but since I'm basically using at as a home guitar i really like that the controls are hidden inside the sound hole, while the battery it by the jack input. Doesn't mess up the looks:)
An amazing guitar for the price
Both the look of the guitar and its sound left me astonished.
Right out of the box it sounded incredible, both plugged or unplugged.
can't ask for more for the price
This guitar, though not exactly 'cheap', does stand out both visually and sonically. So far I've been using it for about 18 months, restrung several times and really can't find anything wrong with it.
The pros that I see:
- PRS neck, for those who love it
- looks stunning and improves the room
- sounds great both unplugged and plugged (playing through Yamaha THR)
- build quality is 9/10 (there're some parts that could've been done better inside the guitar but I am nitpicking)
- comes with a quality case
Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase
Gorgeous!
This PRS acoustic came in a well fitted case and played great right out the box. The Ziricote wood on the sides and back is absolutely gorgeous. Matches great with the Sitka Spruce top. And the abalone inlays looks stunning. The sound is well balanced with a powerfull low end and singing highs. The notes make a satisfying "ping" off the fretboard as they're played and it sounds incredible.
If it didn't say so on the back of the headstock I would never have believed this was made in China. Quality none the less.
I use this mostly at home but also in small venues such as churches, parties and such and it fills up the room quite nicely. It produces a lot of sound in a well balanced manner.
If you're considering getting this PRS acoustic I would absolutely recommend it.
