I applying guitar approx. 25 years, I tried lot of string gauges and vendors...Fender, Dean Markley, Gibson... I prefer nickel string because of their sound, light feel and touch.It is very easy to bend up notes, also for hybrid picking, shredding or strumming. 9" gauge is too light 10" is quite huge for me 9,5" is perfect "middle" way. Quality wise there are very durable, but it is quite shorter lifetime (quite quick wear) due to nickel, which his very soft. I very recommend to use string conditioner to provide better performance and pro-long lifetime.

They are the best all round choice but not as " enjoyable " as others . Other strings are more "fun" to play but these feel the best and sound the best so the music is best. Yes, I would have to recommend them . I have used everything else really including the best the US has to offer and these strings are definitely worth looking at . They are particularly good on a 335 where the 12s play like 11s . There is exceptional balance across wound to plain strings once you adjust . They have exceptional clarity They sound great with medium to high action and superb with medium action

I've put these on a Harley Benton Custom Line Manhattan-Standard and used it for recording; they have a rich and powerful sound which enhances the acoustic resonance qualities of this particular guitar. The advertised long tone durability is not just a marketing hoax, and it's something for which I've known Blue Steel strings for a long time. The tone quality does not deteriorate after the first few weeks (like it is the case with certain strings), and the strings don't have a particularly sparkly and bright tone to begin with; it's reasonably balanced throughout their entire lifetime. I only installed these strings to my new Hofner yesterday, so I can't comment on how they might sound once they've been "broken in", but from the first moment of putting them onto the guitar, the improvement in tone has been clear! My guitar's factory strings sounded too weak, muddy and unreliable in tuning when connected to an amp - since changing to the DRs, the sound and playability has improved massively. There's clearly a reason why DR are considered so highly among electric guitarists!

An advancement in technology. I heard, that when NASA astronauts checked the spaceships that came back from space, they found out that the structure of metals was changed. They had become stronger. The same technology is applied here. The strings are treated in extreme cold, and they are more responsive and somewhat stiffer. I use these strings on my superstrats, to play in B standart tuning. In comparison, I use 12-68’ strings from other manufacturers, and they seem as tense as these blue steels. They hold up great, they sound really bright and so far, I haven’t broken any single one of blue steels strings. Looked for drop B fitting string on my tele and decided to check this ones. So what, drop B sounds tight af, tone is brilliant with nonamebuckers and alumitone deathbucker both, crispy highs we love are here as well. Only thing im disappointed by is that there is no coating and you should replace them after a month of 24/7 riffing, but thats ok because of their nice price i guess. If you need to send your strings to the bottom of the ocean - pick this ones, tension is pleasant in drop B or A. Also they never broke, what i consider good.

The main information that I can give you is that this string set has also the correct length for the Squier Bass VI and solves the problem of the (way too) light bass strings from the stock set causing intonation issues and so on... I'm happy with the sound, but as I'm not familiar with my new bass VI, I cannot really evaluate it yet. Note: the two thicker strings are not wounded until the end, to be able to fit in the tuners. The wounded length (from the endball to the end of the wounded part) is 90.5cm (the strings are longer as the core continues) I forgot to measure the length of the string, but on my guitar the longest string (the .29) is also long enough (103cm between ball end and tuner on my guitar)

I was looking for Baritone strings for my Ibanez Talman. Nowadays I mostly play in C# standard because I play slide. I tried a set of .15's (I can't remeber from what brand) but they were too heavy for my liking. Then I bought this set, and they are perfect in most ways. Here's a + and - list: Pro's: + The strings tune up and adjust to your neck very evenly if that makes any sense. My guitar had no issue's getting used to these strings, even when it wasn't setup for this kind of tension. + The lifetime on these is pretty good. For my Strat (standard tuning) I wear out a set of .10's in 3-4 weeks. These can last up to 12 weeks (when you play that much)! + They are very comfortable to play! Very smooth strings. Con's - Of course these strings are heavier than regular strings....

Not for the faint of heart. I played Ernie Ball regular slinkies for years on my American Strat and they are a great string, but on a whim I tried out some Nickle Rockers and wow! I had to turn back the volume on my amp to compensate for the bright, rich sound! I swore I'd never go back to regular strings, then I found that Musician's friend does not carry the nickle rockers in 10's, so I had to try these out. Way more bright and aggressive than even the regular nickle rockers! I had to make some tension adjustments to my strat's tremelo to accomidate the 10.5 gauge, but it is worth it, and It doesn't feel like I'm playing a larger string.I play a lot of blues based rock and for that SRV sound, this is it. Bottom line.
