Compact & Powerful Speaker

I was looking some sound system for guitar/vocal to play at church weddings. And I saw everyone using those portable line array systems, I didn't like that. I searched the internet for an alternative, guy was looking something for bars/pubs and they recommended him QSC and that it would be loud enough. I was a little skeptical about QSC but boy, this is loud, trust me. I guess it's not real 2000W but it has enough power. What was important to me was: - compact - loud enough for churches I use a guitar amp AER compact 60 and do DI out to QSC, and it sounds amazing. QSC it's small size, easy to transport, good sound. I recommend it. Before I purchased this speaker, I read on the Internet that QSC has some problems with firmware, something about protect mode 4 where it will shut down the speaker. My firmware version works well, no problem, I have been using it for more than a year.

Great bang for the buck

If you can afford it, this is a fabulous speaker. I am very pleased with the small size and great sound. While registering my purchase I noticed QSC had released a firmware upgrade. It was an easy install, but at the end it gave me a warning about a possible error. The firmware then played 100 Hz and asked me to confirm if the sound was ok. It was, and all went well. (This happened to both speakers.)

After K 12.2 let's try the small ones

I've already my own QSC K 12.2 (4x) but for small in/outside activities or stage returns, they do the job !

So compact & so much power.

I love them.

Absolute satisfaction with my QSC K 8.2 active speakers

I bought a pair of these speakers in my role as a secondary school Head of Music last year. They were superb for rock/pop/jazz band work as well as gigs in large halls and at outdoor events. (They are perfect for spoken presentations, also). I was so impressed that I bought a pair of the same speakers recently for my own band playing. I am not a natural technician but I have found the various functions available from the 8.2s easy to understand with clear illustration from the QSC website. Equipped with an impressive technical spec, they sound very clear across the dynamic range. Sung vocals are particularly clear. The 8.2s are very light to transport and set up. I bought the QSC K Sub subwoofer which, when added to my kit circuit, helps to create wonderful sound at my gigs. I do not have the time or patience to investigate and compare every alternative speaker on the market. I simply decided to invest in what I know - from practical experience - are fantastic, reliable speakers in my former place of work... And I did right!
