Want "plunk" and bass in your banjo tone!? This head will give a cheap banjo a big warm old-timey tone with lots of bass. You may have to tune it a bit tight to get your treble and volume back if you were running a stock frosted head. Great with steel string but not so good with nylons if you don't have an expensive banjo with tone ring.Just my humble opinion.

I got one to replace the Fiberskyn on my Recording King OT-25 and I like the renaissance much better. It really brought the banjo to life. I think it's better than the Fiberskyn for banjos without a tone ring.

Bought as a replacement head for a banjo I have here, I was surprised at the quality as the price was very reasonable. I have this on the banjo since, it sounds crisp & clear and doesn't stretch much.

I'm using this banjo head on my Goodtime open back banjo. I mostly play clawhammer style. My banjo came with a Deering frosted head which was fine but I didn't quite like the sound and the looks of it. I like this one much better. It has a warmer sound better suited for this banjo style and they are translucent which gives your banjo a more old timey look. Whenever I need to replace it I'm getting another one.
