LP 221B 20" Conga Head
Based on 4 reviews
I bought these skins to put on some 1970's vintage fibreglass LPs and have had great feedback. I soaked them for 8 hours, and followed the LP conga reskinning video on YouTube - the advice to leave 3/4" between the playing surface and the rim (I have cuban/traditional style rims so need playing clearance) was a useful guide, and left me with smart looking playable drums. I chose the 20" heads to give me enough skin to work with. This might have been a happy accident because the thickness worked out just right. I don't know if the Quinto and Tumba heads are different thicknesses. If I was to buy again, I think I'd still choose these.
Meinl 11" Nuskyn Head TTR
Based on 1 reviews
Perfect fir for my l Meinl LC11NT-M Luis Conte Quinto. Excellent sound and projection with a crip/clear loud volume/sound. The surface feels great on the hands and fingers since is not sticky or/and slick. This head is just SMOOTH! You can really tuned up this heads and they will retain and maintain the tuning for longer periods of time and/or different types of temperature (weather) . The great thing about synthetic skins is that you don't need to detune or loosen the heads in order to preserve the life of it which is a super mega plus quality feature. I Highly,HIGHLY recommend this head to anyone that is looking for a great sound with a long lasting tuning. Your Quinto will love you for it!

Remo 11" Symmetry Fiberskyn D2
Based on 1 reviews
These Remo Symmetry Fiberskyn conga heads feel more like natural hide than most synthetic skins and have a little of that warmth that you get from hide, but you get a massive powerful note that really projects well. I use these on fibreglass LPs for gigging. I hadn't used the symmetry heads before and had actually been looking for tucked heads, being a bit of a traditionalist, but couldn't find any. These are actually better, I love the feel and sound and they are tidier without the tuck. It looks exactly the same skin material. The only downside I would say about fibreskins is I have found the top layer of the skin (the hide looking and feeling finish bit) becomes detached from the main playing part of the head over time which is why I was replacing my previous ones.
