Great for dry, warm kick sounds

I used to be a coated Powerstroke 3 guy, then I got one of these to try one a kit I wasn't using that much. That bass drum became my go to for dry, warm kick sounds. Now more of my bass drums have this head on them. Excellent product.

The best coated bass drum head on the market, lovely sound, tuning range and I'm never afraid that I'll break it.

This head is a lot like the coated powerstroke 3, although it is slightly dryer, and maybe not as durable. Y

You can get a nice clean thick sound from the kick, and it will eliminate a lot of overtones, but not as much as a powerstroke pro or power sonic.

It leaves room for additional muffling if you choose.

A brilliant kick batter!

In my opinion there isn't a better kick batter available. Unless I need to get a brighter, more musical sound for jazz and other lighter applications (in which case I use a coated Emperor) then the coated powerstroke 4 gives me everything I need in a kick drum batter head. Low end presence with fast response and plenty of punch. I wouldn't swap it for anything!
